Justin Chambers, also known as Dr. Alex Karev on Grey's Anatomy, checked himself into the psychiatric ward of the UCLA Medical Center late last month. He went in voluntary to get treatment for exhaustion. His representative also mentioned that Chambers was having some sleeping disorders during that time. Chambers stayed for a short span of two days and immediately left the Center after receiving therapy. As of press time, Chamber's co-stars from the drama series assured everyone that the actor is doing just fine.

In an interview with TV guide, James Pickens Jr., who plays Dr. Richard Webber on the show, shared that he called Justin as soon as he heard about the incident. He checked on him and was relieved to find out that Chambers was doing great. According to Pickens, Chambers just needed to get some rest. Pickens also received news that Chambers is now spending quality time with his wife Keisha and his five children in Arizona .

Chandra Wilson, who plays Dr. Miranda Bailey, also commented on Chamber's decision to check himself in. She said that he deserved to take a rest. "We are on a break, so we have some time to take care of things that need to be taken care of, and everybody's got to take care of their health. You run yourself down and the next thing you know you're really tired. That's just human," Wilson elaborated.

When the WGA strike started in November, it has given actors and crew members around three months time all to themselves. This is the break that Wilson was talking about. The WGA strike has finally ended after both parties have reached an acceptable agreement and Grey's Anatomy is just one of the shows that will return on air. Grey's Anatomy is a comedy/drama/romantic series about five surgical interns and their personal and professional lives. According to reports, the show would resume its production in March to be able to produce episodes for its current season.
