Hair Loss And Vitamins

One of the problems in providing hair loss vitamins is if those vitamins are needed else where in your body, your hair will see very little of these vitamins. The hair is one of the last places that vitamins go to. The other problem is if you are not providing enough vitamins and even minerals for your body, from the food you eat, your body will start to pull the vitamins it needs from your hair. But the hair is not the only place vitamins are pulled from, since the body will automatically pull vitamins and minerals from other parts of the body to move them to areas that need them for survival.



So one of the first plans of action to get the hair loss vitamins you need is to eat well balanced meals and eliminate as much junk food as you can. The two big killers of hair loss are sugar and salt, so start looking for ways to eliminate these two additives.

Here is a list of vitamins to supplement with to prevent hair loss:

Vitamin A (Retinol) - you can take between 10,000 - 25,000 IU's The larger you are take the higher dose.

The B vitamins are essential hair loss vitamins. It is best to use a complete B vitamin supplement such as the B100's. If you make morning smoothies you can buy the liquid B vitamins. You absorb more of these B's in this form. Remember, you need B vitamins everyday. Your body will only use the B's it needs and excrete the excess. This is why your urine will be a deep yellow since the excess B's are being eliminated.

Vitamin B1 (Thiamin)

Vitamin B12 (Cobalt)

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)

Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid)

Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine)

Vitamin B9 (Folic Acid)

Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) - a good amount of this vitamin is around 3000- to 4000 mg. You can always tell when you are taking to much vitamin C your stools get softer or watery. If you have a hard time with natural vitamin C and it gives you an upset stomach, use the buffered type or Ester C. This will cost you quite a bit more.

Vitamin E - Use 400 - 800 IU but do not exceed the 800mg. For a larger body use the higher dose. Use the Alpha tocopherol since it is the most active form of this vitamin. You will see this form listed as alpha-tocopheryl acetate. For those of you that have problems digesting fats use the water soluble vitamin E.

Vitamin H (Biotin) - This vitamin is a B vitamin but is a very important hair loss vitamin. Lack of this vitamin shows up as thinning hair and loss of hair. So it should be on the top of your list to supplement with it. However it should be used and taken with the other B vitamins so to get the best absorption. Use around 300 mcg and if the B100 do not have enough biotin, you may have to supplement with biotin separately.

There you have it. This is the basic hair loss vitamins that you need to take. There are other nutrients that you need, but they will be covered in my other articles.

Loss of hair, also known as baldness refers to the act of shedding hair as a result of genes, bad nutrition, medications, or disease. Baldness can occur in women and men.

Unbalanced nutrition leads to deficiency of B vitamins and other vitamins which are important for hair growth and health.

It is very important to get the right vitamins in the right amount in order to prevent hairloss and help hair to grow much stronger and healthier. Vitamins for baldness can be found in cosmetic products, example biotin in shampoos, and also in food and supplements.

Treating hair loss with vitamins:

Healthy hair with B vitamins:

B vitamins are essential for the health and for the growth of hair.

Vitamin B3 is the most essential for hair growth since it helps the circulation in the scalp. Vitamin B6 helps to create melanin which set the hair color and also helps to prevent hair loss. Other B vitamins, such as vitamin B12, among others, are also very good for hair loss prevention.

Prevent hair loss with Biotin:

Biotin, also known as vitamin H, is a part of the vitamin B complex. Biotin helps to maintain healthy hair and skin and therefore in some men helps to prevent hair loss. Deficiency of biotin makes the hair look unhealthy and fragile.

Vitamin A for hairloss:

Vitamin A is important for hair growth since it helps to develop healthy cells and tissues in the body, including hair.

Sebum is an important lubricant for the hair follicle and has an effect on hair loss. Vitamin A helps to prevent drying, of glands which are vital for sebum producing. When there is deficiency of vitamin A the scalp becomes dry, dandruff appears, and the hair dries and looks unhealthy.

Vitamin C prevents hair loss:

Vitamin C is very good for the scalp circulation and helps to carry blood to the follicles, therefore good for hairloss prevention and makes the hair healthier. When there is deficiency of vitamin C the hair looks dry, breaks, and dies.

Vitamin E and hair growth:

Better blood flow and more oxygen are important for hair growth; vitamin E Helps the blood circulation in the scalp and stimulates oxygen intake, therefore important for hair growth and the prevention of hair loss.

There are many more vitamins that can prevent hairloss and help to grow healthier hair. Balanced nutrition is the key and the amount of vitamins in the body should be checked every once in a while to make sure the nutrition is balances enough.
