It is all about preventative medicine, doing yoga periodically will help decrease your chances of getting common middle aged problems. How easy is that?



Consistent yoga practice is the best way for middle aged people to maintain their strength and flexibility as well as reduce some common problems associated with middle aged people.

Reports from a distinguished cancer research center showed that yoga practice done consistently over time will help lead to weight loss as well as increase in strength and flexibility.

A data analysis compiled from 10,000 men and women in the age group of 45 and 55 years. People, who are at a normal weight, gained about 3 pounds less than people who did not have a set schedule for their yoga practice. The effect of yoga was the most on obese people of this age group. In the span of ten years, obese people of the age group had lost about 10 pounds more than the people of the same age group who did not schedule regular yoga practice time.

There are many myths that center around weight loss combined with an active exercise program, however the people who do attend yoga practice did not do that kind of yoga at all. Research suggests that weight loss is due to how yoga makes one aware of their body.
