Window treatments such as full length curtains are extremely beneficial for creating an informal atmosphere in the dining room and provide the room with an easy mood of relaxation. Moreover, when opened with classy beaded tiebacks or a coloured rope, these curtains can do a great deal in adding a sense of style and grace to the room.
Damask or Jacquard curtains are best for offering a sense of elegance and sophistication to bay windows. These are mostly admired for their medium-weighed fabric and their popular range available in various patterns and colours. In case of such fabrics, the curtains are usually provided with deep headings for producing some really beautiful pleats and attractive, subtle folds. There are also certain curtains available particularly for bay windows, for instance, the economical eyelet curtains that provide a very trendy look.
The fall and drape of the curtains and the different styles of curtain tracks or poles are also important and influence the appearance of window dressings. In such cases, bay window poles are the best, since they can perfectly fit the size and shape of windows and can be used with both light as well as medium weight curtains. Traditional curtain tracks are more preferable for heavier curtains, since they allow easy opening and drawing of curtains without much effort.
In rooms featuring some dark furnishings, full-length curtains in dark colours are ideal. These curtains not only create a traditional and cozy ambience in the room, but also offer a comforting sense of warmth on cold nights. They look extremely classical and refined and can be used with matching tiebacks and pellet to furthermore enhance their appearance.
If you are planning to add some grace to your pale dining room, then go for cream coloured curtains having a boldly contrasted edge. For small bedrooms and dining rooms, pastel coloured curtains are the best and an affordable way to create a sense of freshness and sophistication in the room.
For bringing a feeling of friendliness into a dining room and making it more informal, traditional or modern floral curtains are a popular choice. Curtains with pale background colours with blooms or flowers appear very lavish for large bay windows.
Contemporary interior designs can best be complemented by neutral toned curtains, especially those with faux suede or corded fabrics. Such tones and fabrics beautifully complement subtle, informal lifestyles and coordinate very well with modern styled furniture. The faux suede curtains are extremely smooth to touch and can be hung with pleated headings or can also be used with curtain poles, rings, and beaded tiebacks to offer a smart look.
A great idea with any kind of curtain is adding lining to it. This helps in providing heat insulation, hanging it better and reduces the risk of having fading.
Ready-made curtains are perfect for you if you wish to have an impressive variety of countless colours and sizes. Several textures are available to complement every home interior, décor, and furnishing designs. These curtains can be used alone or they can also be used along with some window accessory such as blinds to offer some privacy and the ability to control the amount of sunlight entering the room.
Hair Styles To Suit
Though the billowy boxers looked dignified and modest, they lost out on tighter briefs and had made a graceful exit towards the sidelines of underwear fashion and remained their all through the seventies and eighties.
But the nagging question of private comfort plagued the male world all through. Some considered briefs to be too restrictive while others considered boxers as too loose. But one thing was true. All of them pined for something which would have the best of both the worlds. As if God heard the silent prayers of the suffering males!
In the early part of 1990s boxer briefs made their appearance in the market and were touted as a brand new design in men's underwear. By 1993, Mark Wahlberg print ads for Calvin Klein boxer briefs were found almost everywhere, but it seemed the famous question put to Bill Clinton in 1994 - "boxers or briefs" still did not allow boxer briefs to emerge as a separate entity.
A lot of men were also not too sure about the cut's superiority above the other types of underwears. A few of the enterprising ones took a jump and they immediately realized the inherent comfort of this particular design and those who have once switched on to this have never gone over to anything else. The benefits of the boxer briefs are so profound that they deserve separate mention and detailed discussion.
The obvious but rarely discussed problem with boxers was lack of support. The genitalia had a free swinging time which often caused acute discomfort. Boxer briefs addressed this problem more than adequately and held the goods of males securely in their proper place.
Conventional boxers were in a state of perpetual motion! The waist band either wanted to go up the waist in bid to outrace the trouser belt or tended to slip down and the extra billowy cloth tended to gather in the posterior cleavage causing extreme discomfort and warranting constant realignments, often to acute embarrassment of the wearer. Boxer briefs with their tight fittings and ribbed cuffs addressed this problem beyond all reasonable doubts.
The user friendly Y-front of the boxers were also a welcome relief from the slit of a fly in traditional boxers which often caused unwanted pop out of the genitalia without any notice. Some boxers tried to rectify this shortcoming by putting in a fly button. But buttons are the last thong one would want to negotiate when in urgent need of urination!
Calvin Klein boxer briefs are superbly cut and they are my personal choice. Once I had purchased a pair of boxer briefs made by 2(x)ist but their ostentatious design around the genitalia did not suit my taste.
Some people prefer trunks which have most of the benefits of a boxer brief, except one vital shortcoming. They have no fly opening at all and it requires a surgeon's precision to urinate in a public urinal with your trunks on!
Some people are these days are going gaga over going commando. But I find it not only unhygienic but also an invitation to potential injury.
