Healthy Fast Ways To Lose Weight

Yo-yo, back and forth, roller coaster, whatever you call it the back and forth game of losing and gaining weight back can be irritating at the least and downright depressing at the worst. The simple truth that no one wants to admit is that the key to weight loss and maintaining it is to just eat less.



The fact of the matter is that it is not any more difficult to follow a healthy lifestyle of eating than it is to follow any of the fad diets out today. It may sound like I ma over simplifying things but it really is not that difficult.

Once you get into it you will love it because it will be nowhere near as restrictive as the diets you may have followed in the past.

One of the easiest things to do to start is to just eat smaller portions but include a balance of protein, fat, and fiber in every meal. Get rid of the giant plates. Your meal should be approximately the size of the open palm of your hand.

Always drink a couple of glasses of water with every meal as well as drinking water in between other meals. The purpose is twofold, you will feel fuller plus it will flush toxins and keep your body flushed of toxins.

Don't do like many on diets and skip breakfast. Breakfast is crucial to success in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. When I say breakfast, I mean a real breakfast not donuts and pastries! Eat a healthy breakfast like oatmeal and fruit instead.

Don't get into the habit of counting calories. If you do as I suggested above and keep your portions limited to the size of your palm you will not overeat. Never eat until you are totally stuffed. You shouldn't feel like you just had Thanksgiving Dinner every time you sit down to a meal. Don't feel like you have to eat everything on your plate either, if you are full just save it and eat later.

Pick something to get rid of. Almost everyone has a vice. It could be having a beer or two or a glass of wine, or sodas. All of these things are devoid of nutritional value and contain only empty calories. Make a commitment to stay off these things for a full year and you will be surprised by the change in your weight.

Be aware of the foods that you turn to when you are upset or stressed out. Instead of grabbing a pizza and a six pack of beer go for a walk or hop on a bike and go for a ride. Do something physical instead of using food as a quick fix for an emotional situation.
Healthy Fast Ways To Lose Weight
People who want to lose weight within a short period of time go on juice fast. And true enough, they do shed off several pounds of excess fat, depending on their weight goal. Juice fasting is indeed an effective diet for getting rid of unwanted fat. Additionally, juice fasting is a good method for detoxifying the body.

During the fast, the consumption of solid food is strictly controlled and minimized. In fact, some may choose to completely cut themselves off from eating for a certain period of time. A person on a fast gets sustenance from filtered or distilled water, fresh vegetable juice, and fresh fruit juice. During this period, the body exhausts all its resources to acquire the components necessary for the functioning of the body. At the same time, several organs of the body are given ample time to rest and recuperate.

One organ that is given time to restore itself and tone up is the coon. It is common knowledge that the colon is one of the organs of elimination that is often damaged due to improper diet and unhealthy habits. The colon has the tendency to accumulate fecal matter, which then becomes the source of toxins and bad bacteria which attacks the rest of the body. During juice fasting, the colon is cleansed of these toxic wastes. At the same time, it is given ample time to produce the necessary healthy mucus in the colon walls, responsible for keeping the toxins and bacteria from getting into the bloodstream.

However, the body mostly gets energy nutrients from meat and starchy food. These foods are rich in glucose which is the body's main source of energy. Normally, the liver can store glucose necessary for fueling the body in between meals. However since protein and starch intake are cut off during the fast, the body exhausts the stored glucose within the first 24 hours of the diet. Thus, the body starts to burn stored fats for fuel. That is the reason why one tends to lose significant weight while fasting. But most importantly, since majority of the toxins in the body are stored in the body fat, the body naturally and efficiently releases the toxins.

Additionally, raw vegetables and fruits are good sources of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. And because the body is not taking in solid food, the vitamins and minerals from the vegetables and fruits are easily absorbed by the body, making the body healthier, stronger, and more energized.

For the duration of the fast, the body continue its healthy cycle of filtering out toxins and absorption of essential vitamins and minerals from the juice. However, fasting must be done with a professional supervision. Some people that have certain medical conditions are not advised to fast. Also, it is better to get professional advice as to how the fast must be performed effectively and without adverse side effects.
