#7 Create a viral marketing product like a book or a report, and give it away. Include links in the content that require people to opt in for special bonuses.

Building a large opt in list doesn't have to be complicated or tricky. Bath and Body works built the largest specialty retail list by simply exchanging a coupon for free lip gloss in exchange for an email address. The coupon had to be emailed.
