Heart Attack Or Stroke

    View:
Are you fifty-five years of age or older? Have you suffered a heart attack or stroke previously? Do you have diabetes coupled with smoking, high cholesterol, or high blood pressure? Do you have a history of angioplasty, bypass surgery, or angina? Do you have peripheral vascular disease? If you are at least 55 years or older and can answer yes to any of these questions, you may be a candidate for Altace.

Physicians, to help lower the risks of cardiovascular death, stroke, or heart attack in patients who carry high risks, prescribe Altace. What is further, Altace has been regarded as a helpful method of therapy when it comes to maintaining control over high blood pressure within adults.

You see as we increase in age, our risks of heart disease increases at the same time. Studies show, that when compared to adults aged forty-five to fifty-four years of age, those that are fifty-five an older have higher risks of death from a cardiovascular disease, they have a tripled risk of a fatal heart attack, and the risks of a first heart attack increases. Furthermore, in men their risks of stroke doubles, while women's risk of coronary heart disease doubles as well.

As you can see, the older we get the more we need to be aware of our overall cardiovascular health. Of course, as with any medication there are some things you should consider before taking Altace. While there are many things you should be aware of, there are two very important things you should make sure you understand.

1.Taking Altace may work to increase risks of developing severe allergic reactions. If you have allergic reactions to things that generally involve breathing difficulties, throat problems, or swelling within the throat, tongue, face, or lips, you will want to talk to your doctor about these thing prior to taking the medication.

2.It is important to avoid Altace, at all costs, while pregnant. Studies show that when taking during pregnancy, especially during the 2nd and 3rd trimester, there is significant risks of causing death or injury to the unborn child.

Common side effects of Altace include rash, numbness of the legs, arms, feet, or hands, depression, anxiety, diarrhea, vomiting, and nausea. You might also notice symptoms such as dry cough, weakness, fatigue, headaches, lightheadedness, or dizziness. If you experience a sore throat, fever, severe fainting, severe dizziness, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, little to no urine, breathing difficulties, or allergic reactions, you should immediate cease taking Altace and seek medical care right away.

Before taking Altace, it is important that you talk with your doctor, understand the pros and cons, and find out if you are a candidate for the medication.

Disclaimer: If you need more information about Altace, talk to your doctor or a qualified professional.
Heart Attack Or Stroke
Many otherwise healthy looking people are at risk of cardiovascular disease everyday. If you feel you're at risk of heart disease or worry about having a frightening heart attack or stroke, below are the 7 top ways to help you have healthy cardiovascular health:

1.) High blood pressure - Also known as hypertension, it usually has no symptoms. It damages your blood vessels and is caused by gradual abnormal thickening of the arteries which become inelastic and don't flux. Treatment usually means a change in lifestyle (see factors below) or medicine.

2.) Smoking - Tobacco and cigarette smoke is considered the major contributory cause of heart disease. Smoking decreases HDL (good) cholesterol and over a period of year's relentless build up of fatty acids in the artery gradually chokes off the blood supply until you have a heart attack or stroke.

3.) High Cholesterol - The higher your cholesterol level the more likely it is you'll get heart disease. Diet, weight, age/gender, physical activity and family history are the factors that will determine whether you will be susceptible to high cholesterol. You can reduce the risk by following a low-cholesterol, low-fat diet and participate in a regular aerobic exercise plan.

4.) Overweight and obese - Refers to an excess of bodyweight usually set to BMI standards (Body Mass Index). It raises your high cholesterol levels, blood pressure and can cause you diabetes, as well as many other diseases.

5.) Physical inactivity - Lack of exercise maximizes self-inflicted risk factors such as smoking, high cholesterol and obesity. Exercise helps your heart pump blood more effectively and balances good (HDL) and bad (LDL) cholesterol, helps you lose weight, lowers blood pressure and reduces stress.

6.) Diabetes - More than 65 percent of people who have this die of some kind of cardiovascular disease. If your blood glucose levels are higher than normal and not controlled, this can affect the lining of the body's arterial walls which promotes the buildup of fatty plaques. When damage affects the major arteries, the result may be a heart attack or stroke.

7.) Stress - Studies show that nearly 40% of all heart attacks occur between 6am and 9am on Monday mornings. Stress related heart attacks are increasing at an alarming rate. People de-stress by drinking, smoking or overeating, without doing these in moderation it could lead you to obesity and high blood pressure.

After reading this article it's clear that many of these risk factors are related, make a few simple lifestyle changes TODAY and you can live a longer, happier and healthier life. Can't you?
