Help For Binge Eating

At restaurants with friends, you order just the right amount of food and can't finish it all because you are so full. Little do your friends know that you had already eaten enough food for three people just two hours before meeting them for another dinner.



You talk to your friends about why you are overweight. You don't know why, you say. They are just as stumped as you are. They see what you eat and it is small portions. Not even unhealthy foods most of the time.

But what they don't know is that you have Binge Eating Disorder. You have something that is constantly looming over your head. Food. Food is a dream and a nightmare mixed into one. Food makes you feel better and then makes you feel worthless the very next minute.

You don't want to let your friends into your secret world though. This is your world and they will not understand. They may just tell you to stop eating so much. They won't understand.

But, if they are your friends, they will understand. You cannot let any self-limiting beliefs stand in your way anymore. Your friends love you and will stand by your side when asked for help. You mean everything to them.

The first step that you can take is to tell someone that you trust. Stop dealing with this big problem on your own. Ask a friend to just listen to you when you need them. Often talking about problems and just getting things off of your chest will make you feel so much better. Plus, if you are hanging out with someone and talking about it, you are less likely to turn to food. It isn't as available and you are not alone. You are forcing yourself out of your comfort zone and that is okay.

Get help and find a trusted confidant. Expose your secret world to them little by little, or by however feels right to you. Listen to yourself and let that be the judge. Once they know where you are coming from, they will be able to help you to where you hope to go in the future.

Don't let binge eating disorder get the best of you; seek a friend to talk to and watch you start to feel better about yourself and your situation.
Help For Binge Eating
When you should and shouldn't eat. That is as important as what you eat. Why is it important? It is important because you don't want to binge eat. You don't want to eat a whole bunch of food at one time. This isn't good for you.

Let me ask you this... does this ring a bell at all? For breakfast you have very little to eat or perhaps nothing at all. Around lunch time, you are either too busy or you just don't want to consume any unhealthy restaurant or fast foods. So by this point maybe you've had something to drink and a cracker or two. Now, by the time you get back home, your body is screaming for something to eat. In fact, you're so hungry you could eat a proverbial horse. You rationalize eating way more than you should because you essentially have had nothing all day long. You end up closing out your day by watching some television... in fact, you fall asleep while doing so.

Is this the same as eating three good meals each day? Eating one meal that is the same amount of food as three? No it isn't. It isn't because of the way that the body digests the food. All day long you have starved your body of what it needs, it can't handle everything at once.

You are quite simply overloading your body's capacity and balance. As a result, you will end up eating all kinds of foods that aren't good for you or your diet. And more often than not, if you are away from home, you'll grab some fast food or other type of food that is high in fat.

This unhealthy eating habit occurs because you have driven your body to the point that it must have some type of nourishment and this is not good for you from a health stand point or a diet stand point.

A sling shot type of eating habit will not only not accomplish your weight loss goals (in fact it will probably make your weight even worse) but it is very unhealthy for your body as well. Think consistent nourishment for your body in more frequent measured doses. Healthy snacks between your smaller meals is also a good practice (note the 'healthy' part). Having a healthy snack between the meals is a great way to keep your body's nourishment and energy level at a more consistent operating level and help you stay more consistent with healthy eating habits.

Again, the key to having a snack between your meals if it is a healthy snack. Remember, foods that are high in fat will actually only have you feeling more drained and will actually stimulate your appetite for more.

Changing your eating habits to having three smaller meals per day is the goal. Even if you seem to struggle to do this, be patient and persistent... do not allow the binge eating cycle to get started.

Starving your body is not healthy and it certainly isn't an effective approach to weight loss. The more you starve your body the more your body goes into a defensive mode against the starvation by trying to conserve all the energy it can... thus making it even tougher to lose the weight.
