Entitled "Four Months Later," Season 2's first episode starts with Mohinder Suresh traveling the country lecturing on a deadly virus with potential to devastate the population when he is met by "Bob," a Company operative who offers him help in finding a cure for the virus if he'll join their efforts.
Claire Bennet and family have just moved to another town and are trying to keep as inconspicuous as possible, but she soon finds that's easier said than done when she meets an inquisitive classmate with abilities of his own.
Matt Parkman and Mohinder Suresh have taken in Molly Parker, who has been having extreme nightmares about the one person who scared her worse than Sylar: the "Nightmare Man." Matt has more on his mind though, as Kaito Nakamura and Angela Petrelli have both received mysterious death threats.
The Petrelli family in general isn't doing too well...Nathan has been thrown into a slump due to Peter being missing and presumed dead after they narrowly avoided blowing up NYC last season. Severely depressed, heavy on the bottle, and in bad need of a shave, Nathan's about the only person convinced that Peter's alive somewhere. Turns out he's right...we find out that Peter's turned up in Ireland handcuffed to the inside of an empty shipping container...and without any idea of his own identity or abilities.
Back in 17th Century Japan, Hiro finds himself in the middle of his most cherished story: the days of Takezo Kensei! However, the legendary Japanese hero isn't quite what you'd expect, and Hiro has his hands full figuring out how to deal with this latest surprise.
Finally, we meet a new pair of characters, Maya and Alejandro. Wanted for murder due to Maya's stress-triggered ability that causes everyone around her to die, the brother and sister pair are fleeing to America to find a certain "Dr. Suresh."
This first episode is jam-packed with action and storyline, and would be a really hard one to miss. We can be absolutely positive that Heroes is keeping in the tradition of the first season, with wrenching cliffhangers and edge-of-your-seat wonders to make your jaw drop.
