Using a system that imitates a search engine such as Google or Yahoo, the idea is to begin to type a destination of interest into the search box and just like the mentioned search engines above, a list of results is displayed with the aim of not only matching your destination but also giving you other similar options and choices.

With over 25 countries listed (and the number is increasing rapidly), you could search for the country of your choice or for a more specific region, for example, "north" or "south". Once again you are presented with a list of results that most closely match your search requirement.

It seems to be a pretty versatile system after playing around with it for a while.Keying in "North" yielded some of the following results, North Wales, North Carolina, Northern Cyprus and Northampton.

Simplify your search to Spain for example and a mouse click later finds you presented with a list of properties (holiday villas and holiday homes) in that specific country. It appears the properties are listed randomly which means any of the properties could appear at the top of search list.

Once an individual property is highlighted and clicked, an array of features are displayed such as prices, amenities and facilities. Photographs of the locations and properties are also able to be highlighted and browsed through.

The site advertises private holiday home accommodation direct from the owner via the website. It is a classic transaction website, bringing together holidaymaker and holiday home owner.

The original website was launched in August 2007, it grew quickly and within nine months had thousands of properties listed.

Having spent a little time looking around the site and playing with the search engine like system, it really does seem to be user friendly. Many of us are still not internet experts, so the easier the navigation the more friendly the site becomes. Holiday home owners are contactable directly via email or phone and arrangements can be made very quickly.
