Beanbag chairs have certainly changed since I was young and are now bigger, more comfortable, and look a lot nicer. Bean bag chairs came into popularity in the '60s and '70s as a hip, comfortable family room seating option and now they're making a comeback. Choosing the right shape and material as well as size and color are very important. Bean bags come in several different materials and we want to mix the materials together so we can turn the bags over and have a completely different chair. We may want to use them in different rooms at different times.

Apparently the beans do compress in time so it was recommended that we top them up occasionally. Our beanbags will have built in zippers that will allow filling and emptying should we want to wash the cover or change the beans.
