Ooty is a hill station in south India in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is the capital of Nilgiri district. Ooty or Udhagamandalam is a famous honeymoon and summer holiday destination of India. Doddabetta peak is the highest point in Nilgiri District. It is 2600 mts high above sea level and is covered with mist most of the times. The telescope house run by the tourism department allows people to have a view through the telescope which gives the complete picture of Ooty. the view fascinating from the peak itself, the telescope adds to the delight of the beautiful scene. Doddabetta peak is located 10 Km from Ooty.

Conoor is a beautiful city of Tea gardens. It is situated at a distance of 10Km from Ooty. one can indulge in the aroma of tea leaves when crossing the tea garden slopes. It has also beautiful waterfalls and scenic picnic spots like Dolphin's nose and Lady Canning's Seat.

For shopping one can buy the tea leaves and powder, Home-made Ooty chocolates, Eucalyptus or Nilgiri oil and other oils extracted from various types of trees here. These oils are said to have medicinal value in ailments like joint pains and other aches.
