OK, it’s not painless, and not new, but it can be very effective. To understand why diet and exercise can make a difference, let’s first look at why cellulite develops for some people. Cellulite is essentially deposits of subcutaneous fat and fibrous tissue that give a dimpled look to the outer layer of skin.
It is also made up of toxins, which is why a good diet and exercise are so important. Loads of water and regular scrubbing with a dry loafer can also help. Both men and women of all shapes and sizes can develop cellulite, but it’s more common on women’s hips and thighs.
Number 2: Lippodissolve vs Liposculpture
Lipodissolve is a relatively new treatment for removing fatty deposits, but is rapidly gaining popularity, particularly for people wanting to remove cellulite.
The main ingredient in Lipodissolve is soy-derived phosphatidylcholine, or lecithin. Other ingredients vary, and may include enzymes or a B vitamin complex. Also, over 95% of people elect to have a local anaesthetic added to the Lipodissolve mix. Not only does it reduce needle discomfort, it has also proved to reduce the possibility of side effects for many people.
Using micro-fine needles, such as those commonly used in acupuncture, the mixture is injected into the subcutaneous layer of fat, and acts to break down the outer layer of the fat cells. As the fat is no longer contained within a call wall, the body sends in its cleaners to reabsorb it, much like it would a bruise.
Some professionals have stated that Lipodisssolve permanently removes fat cells, while other suggest that it is only permanent if weight is maintained or lost.
Liposculpture, the more traditional surgical procedure, does permanently remove fat cells, and is probably still more appropriate for people who would like to get rid of larger fat deposits. However, it has a longer recovery time than Lipodissolve, and is much more expensive.
Although Lipodissolve does hurt, it’s much further down on the pain-scale than its cousin. Of course, the level of pain experienced is an individual thing. Some people hate needles with a passion, and for them, a locally applied anaesthetic on the arm, wrapped in plastic, may be the answer.
And speaking of side effects – yes, there are some. Commonly, people experience swelling, itching, mild burning sensations and, in some cases, bruising. More often than not they go away within a day or two, and can be reduced with some mild painkillers.
There have been problems in the past with Lipodissolve, when administered by unqualified hands. Like any cosmetic surgery procedure, it pays to read as much as you can on the subject and then get advice from a well-regarded plastic or cosmetic surgeon.
Will I get a bum like J-Lo?
Hazarding a guess that getting a bum like J-Lo will take a team of trainers, and army of personal chefs, years of dance training and some Latin blood, it’s unlikely that any treatment, aside from a bum augmentation, will give you a booty of such extremity. That said we hope that some answers have been suitably demystified here, so you can get the best out of your own assets.
How Do I Get Rid Of Cellulite
Cellulite is a normal human variation that is viewed by a segment of the public (with the help of the media, some physicians, and salesmen of various sorts) as some sort of a disease. The term "cellulite" was coined in 1973 to refer to the dimpled appearance of the skin that some people have on their hips, thighs, and buttocks. This appearance is much more common in women than in men because of differences in the way fat, muscle, and connective tissue are distributed in men and women's skin. Although female hormones may play a role in contributing to this fat distribution, cellulite is not treatable by hormone therapy.
Cellulites can be a big problem for most women. Although these fatty deposits rarely pose any danger, their presence can often affect the person's self-esteem. As most people today are going for anything that is thin or flat from television screens and cellular phones to panty shields, having cellulites is simply unappreciated and can not be tolerated.
Hence, the quest for a cellulite-free body has been going on with women like you. And whoever wins will earn the admiration and approval of her peers. To win the war against cellulites, you need to be armed with the knowledge of what can cause cellulite buildup in the body, only then can you choose which approach to take to keep your body firm and sleek. The following are the different causes of cellulite development.
Cellulite is hereditary
True. Just as some families are susceptible to certain diseases, the possibility of extreme cellulite being present is no different. But hormones, diet and lifestyle play an important role too, so if your mum and grandmother have or had cellulite, it doesn't mean to say that you can't influence it. Therefore, the sooner you take care of yourself, the better.
Improper Diet
Even if all the women in your family are lucky enough to not have cellulites, you still risk developing these fatty deposits in your body if you do not watch what you eat. Cellulites may grow in many parts of your body because unhealthy diet can mean that your body will not be able to effectively cleanse itself. As a result, toxins from the food that you eat will get trapped in the fatty tissues near the skin.
Dehydration
Water helps a lot in flushing out the wastes in the body. Since toxins play an important role in the growth of cellulites, a good way to avoid developing unwanted fat deposits is to prevent the accumulation of toxins inside the body. Drinking plenty of water will help your system in cleaning out the wastes.
Smoking
Studies have shown that smoking can ruin tiny blood vessels and capillaries by causing them to constrict. When this happens, less and less blood will be able to take away the wastes in certain parts of the body. One more thing, poor blood supply in certain parts of the body can take its toll on the connective tissues that hold the skin to other tissues under it. As a result, your skin can be easily stretched and make room for the growth of cellulites.
Stress
Finally, one of the known causes of cellulite formation in the body is stress. And it is not only because of your tendency to binge on food whenever you are under stress. The tensions caused by being in a stressful situation can block the body's waste elimination process. This will bring you increased amounts of toxins in your body and before you know it, you have thighs with cubbyholes.
Nine Ways of Treating Cellulite
1. Strengthen blood vessels/increase blood flow
2. Encourage the production of connective tissue
3. Stimulate the production of collagen and elastin
