Thousands of people everyday search the internet for ways to make money online - fortunately for myself my searching has ceased because I have already found a very profitable and automated way to make money online. These are pretty strong words to write - but it's true. Having said this -I certainly can't take the credit for all my success - I did have some help, actually I had a lot of help. Let me say this to start with - there is nothing in the world like waking up and checking your online bank account balance and seeing how many sales you have accumulated overnight. Basically I promote products online and offline and when they are purchased through my links I receive a commission for my trouble - commonly what is known as Affiliate Marketing. It takes a bit of work to start with - especially if you're new to the business - but once everything falls into place that's when things really start to happen.

Affiliate Marketing is a very popular way of making money online these days - but isn't for everyone. Many people fail miserably, never even coming close to what they thought they would be able earn via this internet business model. However there are also many of us that are doing quite well for ourselves too.

As I said in the beginning of this article - when I say a bit of work to start with I mean things like setting up your accounts, working out 'what' products to promote, and 'where' to promote them - and then working out 'how' your going to promote them. Once you have these elements set up – your business pretty much runs on autopilot – but you do have to do a couple hours work each day to ensure all goes smoothly. This is one of the best things about working from home.

Now, because I work from home I get to work whenever I want, where ever I want and for as long as I want. I am also able to go out and purchase pretty much whatever I want and I get to go on alot of holidays with my family. Having freedom like this is fantastic - I don't have to ask my boss for any time off for holidays, I don't have to worry about travelling to and from work costs like petrol and parking and I don't need to worry about child care because the kids get to stay with me - although sometimes I like to give them away for a couple hours at a time for a bit of peace and quiet!

The biggest change in my life thanks to my internet home based business is the difference it has made to my mortgage. Being able to produce a good income has helped me significantly lower my mortgage to half of what it originally was - which if I had stuck to my original job I would still be struggling to pay my repayments.

For anyone who is thinking of starting an online business and wants to lead the life I am living - give it a try. To be free and financially secure, especially in these hard economic times we are facing - is an unbelievable feeling.
