A flock of sheep will always get through the gate if there is one of them that chooses to be the leader. The flock will achieve their purpose, getting through the gate, but that's about all.

It's the intelligence of the lead sheep that determines which gate they will follow him through. And any sheep with an ounce of intelligence will obviously lead his flock through a gate that is rewarding for himself, and the flock.
