There are nine proven steps that every home business owner can use to build a list and draw traffic to their website. Most of these steps are free or low cost. Some of them are simple and easy to do, other are more challenging.



However don't let that scary you away from any of them. If you feel uncomfortable with any of them there any plenty of good reputable companies you can outsource those tasks to and still make it profitable to do so.

#1: Write an article.

Write an article with good content regarding your product or service. The article needs to be between 300 and 500 words long. Your article should always contain valuable information for the reader.

It does not always have to be about your product or niche but should have a way to tie back to your business opportunity. For example your article could be about dog travel cages and your business is travel. Rework your article content into a press release. A press release needs to be more like an announcement rather than just news or helpful topics like most articles.

You can pay to have your Press Release distributed or you can manually post to the free sites. Either way this is great exposure for your home business.

Your next step is to rework your article into a video. The results you get from video submissions are fantastic. The Big 3 (Google, Yahoo, MSN) are trying to turn the internet into the next television, so videos get ranked very high. If this is not your idea of fun, have it outsourced.

You will need to spend some money here for audio equipment and a camcorder. You don't need much to get started.

#5: Submit video.

Now you're ready to begin submitting your videos to video submission websites. Most of these sites are free, just time consuming to post and up load your video. So be prepared to sit and wait.

Blogging your content will help you create another media to pass your information. Blog's are seen differently by the search engines. They are indexed much faster?

This should be easy since you already have your information complete.

#8: Create a Social Media post

If you're not into social media yet you need to be. This is no longer just for teens. A Facebook survey states the average age on their site is 25, and more baby boomers are registering everyday.
