It's very important that your real estate agent understands why type of home you're looking for and what you can afford. Never let a real estate agetn dictate to you what you should, or should not buy. If you have that type of agent, it's time to find another one. Remember, your real estate agent works for you, not the other way around!

It's best to have your own loan broker, not the real estate agents. This won't be a problem if your already pre-approved (not pre-qualified!).

Also, never settle on using your real estate agents "Inspector" or "pest control" person. Some agents have set up a network of so called "Professional Services" where they received kickbacks for referring contractors to you. Do you own homework!
