Take these journals with you on any travels you undertake – whether by plane or car. You can either take the time to write in them here and there while you are away, or write in them once you are home. Write about your experiences, what you learned about the location you were at, include postcards and mementos inside, and savor the experience.

Pick a family occasion that is a fun get-to-gether for everyone and one that recurs annually. Whether it is a reunion, Thanksgiving, New Year's Eve, or a summer BBQ – start a journal for it.
