Acne is unattractive and embarrassing, so it is no wonder that there are so many products and treatment on the line for getting rid of acne. It is important that you keep up a skin care regimen in order to stave off outbreaks. Individuals with severe acne should seek assistance from a dermatologist to discuss the possibility of using a prescription acne treatment.
You can get rid of acne by understanding that acne is a sign that something is wrong inside and that internal problems can manifest as external ones. The skin being one of the largest organs of the body is a major elimination channel. In other words your body clears itself by releasing waste materials through its pores, when the digestive system itself cannot keep up with the cleansing process. What could you be doing to cleanse and detoxify yourself from the inside? To restore a good balance inside?
Mix a couple of tablespoons of baking soda with a few drops of water and apply it to the blemish nightly until it goes away
Keep your face oil-free. Oil on your face allows the acne-causing bacteria to grow. So after you sweat, or whenever else your face gets oily, splash your face with water, then dry off with a towel. This will get rid of most of the oil, assuming your completely dry your face off.
Cleanse the skin with a benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid cleanser, apply an alphy hydroxy, and then use a toner. Then use an acne fighting medication to the skin along with a moisturizer. To dry out a pimple overnight, try using toothpaste (not gel) directly on the zit. This should help dry it out overnight. A great face mask is to use the white part of an egg and apply it to your face for about 15 minutes. The vitamin A in the whites is also good for your skin. The egg white is also a great overnight remedy, but just use a Q-tip to dab on the egg-white directly to the pimple.
Be aware of the habit of touching the face. Doing so transfers the dirt on your hands to your face. Keep your face free from loose hair and regularly shampoo your hair. Our scalp secretes oil that when transferred to the skin, becomes another cause of acne growth.
Lemon and Vinegar
This is a home remedy that many people swear by. You drink a glass of water with one-half teaspoon of lemon juice. Then you dilute vinegar, four parts water to one part water. Clean your face as usual and then dab on the vinegar mixture with a cotton ball.
Orange peels - strange, but true, aside from being a good source of vitamin C, an orange peel has become a popular home remedy for curing acne. After pounding the peel with water on a piece of stone, the patient can apply the mixture on to the areas affected by acne
Getting healthy skin means a balance of daily cleansing along with replenishing essential body oils. Revitalizing aloe vera with a vitamin E additive along with chamomile has been an age-old remedy that is worked for many people. Quality moisturizers include Neutrogena products and Eucerin. It is best to avoid using bath soap on your face, even if you are not affected by acne, because soaps tend to dry out your skin, which could trigger new acne break-outs. Facial cleansers are more gentle on the skin.
How To Get Rid Of Red Acne Marks
Step One: Remove milk and milk-based foodstuffs from your diet.
Did you ever think why the milk industry altered their advertising campaign to ?Got Milk?? There is a valid reason why the milk industry is no longer able to advertise ?Milk does a body good.? This is due to the fact that milk is bad for the body, especially with regard to acne.
Our cows are injected with hormones such as sex hormones and bovine IGF. This results in flooding the body with these substances when consuming milk-based products.
"Milk contains androgen precursors like androstendione, as well as estrogen, testosterone, and progesterone, if that is not enough it also contains other hormones. These hormones have been known to promote the development of acne." According to Dr. Patrick Massey MD, PhD.
In the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, it advocates that drinking milk may increase the incidence of acne in teenagers.
Results have shown that milk drinkers are more likely to acquire teenage acne. Those teenagers who drink more milk were at even higher.
Step Two: Eradicate refined sugars and carbohydrates and sugars in your diet.
This means eat low glycemic foods such as whole wheat bread and brown rice. Don't drink sodas, eat white bread or high glycemic white rice.
The Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology records a study of forty three randomly assigned men (considered to be the treatment group) with acne who were changed to a diet that was higher in protein and low-glycemic-load foods such as whole wheat, to a typical Western (the control group) diet containing more foods with a high glycemic load such as sugars and sodas.
Men in the treatment group were told to eat foods that are higher in protein, such as fish, poultry, and lean meat and focus on eating low-glycemic-index carbohydrates like whole grain bread and fruit.
The results of the study indicated after twelve weeks, acne lesions had diminished more in the treatment group, in contrast with the control group. In the treatment group there were also improved hormonal markers of acne.
Step Three: Take a good quality vitamin supplement manufactured specifically for acne.
Acne sufferers have the tendency of lower levels of crucial vitamins and minerals such as Zinc, Vitamin A, and Selenium. Do not purchase the cheapest vitamin supplement as most of these are manufactured using poor quality elements.
Poor quality ingredients might make the body unable to absorb anti-acne nutrients. As an example, various studies show that organic types of selenium are able to be almost completely absorbed by your body, whereas inorganic selenium is generally absorbed by more than 50%.
Fish oil supplements for Omega-3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory properties and have been shown to assist in acne caused by hormone imbalances when supplemented in the clinically established dose.
Ensure that your acne vitamin supplement contains the lowest levels of vitamins that don't assist in acne treatment so that you can have higher levels of the specific nutrients needed for a healthy and clear skin.
It is really that simple! Follow these three simple steps and not only will you obtain faster results, but they will be permanent. Make these two modifications to your diet and obtain a high quality vitamin supplement immediately and enjoy clear skin for ever.
