It doesn't matter if you just met her or out with her for the first second or fiftieth time. Other men will take notice when you are with a beautiful woman. The first rule of handling competition is to expect it! It will happen, other men will try to compete for your girl's attention. This is uncomfortable for most men.



So what to do about it, get pissed off and hit the guy, try to beat him at his own game and be more funny or charming, or do you simply make fun of him and insult him for trying. The answer to all these questions is no. All these typical responses are insecure and are a sure fire way to lose status in the eyes of women and look like a jerk.

The way to deal with competition is laugh it off like they are no threat. If you don't think or at least act like the other man is anything to worry about your girl will think so too. The second you show that you are threatened by other men trying to get at your girl you have lost! The attitude you should have is one that says, "sure take a crack at her if you want, I think it entertaining, because a guy like you has nothing on me."

So how to convey this attitude? The first thing is to have fun with it. Most guys just plain suck at approaching women. Sit back and watch with a grin on your face. Your girl will look over at you like, "oh brother this guy is trying to hit on me." When she blows him off she will come over so you can both laugh about his pathetic game.

If you are both standing there you can have fun by suggesting that your girl and the other guy make a cute couple. This is done with a playful joking attitude, not an insecure sarcasm that makes things uncomfortable. Say stuff like, "please get her off my hands" or "you guys have so much in common." Get it, its confident, lighthearted fun that makes the other guy seem like a tool.

One thing you should not allow to happen is having the other guy pat you on the back or put his hand on your shoulder like your old friends. This is a sign of dominance and he is trying to belittle you. Remember to never get mad, instead say something funny like, "hey buddy I don't swing that way". Say this jokingly and he looks like a dork and you are setting boundaries like an alpha male should.

As you can see, dealing with competition with other men is an attitude more than specific tactics. The insecurity, fear, and jealousy you feel about competition with other men is irrational. The only power another man or a woman for that matter has over you in any situation is the power you give them. Keep the power for yourself by not acting like an insecure jackass! Remember, the other guy is hitting on your women because he doesn't have one.
