Melinda, a Senior at Loyola University in Chicago, was in the top 25% of her class. However she found herself in the Dean's Office, pondering if she would graduate by Spring. What was the problem? Spanish! Melinda needed to fulfill 6 hours of Foreign Language to get her degree. She had enrolled in Spanish three times, only to drop the course. Melinda was about to cry, before the Dean told her this was a common problem. Spanish and Algebra were the biggest culprits for College Seniors not graduating on time.
