High blood pressure can kill you and very often you don't even know that you have it because you don't really feel the effects so readily. Keep the fat content and calories lower and limit the size of each meal. It is better to eat several small meals than three large ones. Also, alcohol is just empty calories If you drink either cut it way back or eliminate it altogether.

1. Lower your salt intake now. Try to lower your intake to less than 2,400 milligrams per day. If possible, go as low as 1,500 milligrams per day!
