When we're pregnant there are a lot of emotions that are taking place. We're excited to see our new baby, yet we're awfully scared to see what the pain is going to be like when we actually give birth. When giving birth for the first time we often look for all the advice we can get from those that are experienced. We want to know what's going on with our baby now, what's already developed, and what to expect when we're about to finally give birth to our little one. There is a lot going through our mind, so to make things easier here are some tips on how to prepare yourself for birth!
Research - It is always good to learn as much as you can ahead of time. Find out everything you're looking to know by researching on the Internet, and by asking your doctor. Once you know the answers to your questions, you will feel much better about your situation, and a lot more at ease.
Companion - You will want to find someone that will stick by your side throughout this whole journey. Whether this person is the baby's father, your best friend, or your mother, make sure they're by your side. You will be able to vent to this person, ask for advice, and they will be the one coaching you along while you're giving birth. You can share these great memories with someone else that truly cares about you.
Medication - Do you know what you're going to do for medication when you're giving birth? You may want to research the different options, and ask your doctor what would be best for you. Not to mention, know what is going to happen when you get the medication, and how it's done. You don't want to be shocked, and freaked out while you're giving birth.
Bag - Once you know that you're getting close to giving birth, you will always want to keep a bag by the door. In this bag should be anything that you want to take to the hospital, clothes that you want to wear, cameras, cell phones, etc. This bag what have time to be packed when you're ready to go, so be prepared and have it ready ahead of time.
Car seat - You will want to make sure your car seat is properly installed and ready to use for when the baby comes home. This is important because a baby cannot ride in the car unless it has a safe car seat that is installed. So, make sure this is ready to go when you are!
Getting prepared for birth can be a little overwhelming. We are so anxious to speed up the process, but when the time actually comes we wish things would slow down, and that we didn't have to go through the delivery part somtimes. So, if you've just found out that you're pregnant, you may want to consider a few of these tips, and keep them in mind for the future!
