How To Pull Profits From Your List Over And Over Again

Step 1. Give them more value once they subscribe. If you plan on at least 7-10 emails to your new subscriber that offer articles, cool resources, teleseminars on topics of interest, goodies they can download FREE, then you will have laid the groundwork for an important psychological response.



Robert Cialdini, in his excellent books on persuasion and influence has explained that people have a tremendous need to reciprocate when someone gives them something. So if you give your list lots of value and help them get what they want, you will find that when you ask them to take a look at a product or service that you offer they will be predisposed to do what you ask.

Once you have established that bond with your new subscribers, you are in a position to make sales and you will be in a much stronger position than all the other marketers out there who have simply been blasting out hype in their ads trying to get attention. Make sure that when you send your new subscriber emails that your reply address is always the same so they recognize that it's coming from you. You will also want to make sure that you write ‘subject lines' in your emails that generate curiosity so your subscribers almost have to open your email to find out what you've got in store for them.

Step 2: Review other people's products and make recommendations. A powerful way to make money online is to register as an affiliate for companies who sell products that offer true value to your subscribers. You can then tell your subscribers about these products and when they visit the special websites that you send them to that have the ability to give you credit for any sales that result from your referral.

Typically you will get anywhere from 10% to 50% commission on each sale you refer, depending on the program, and this can add up to serious money once you have enough subscribers.

With higher ticket items your commission could be $100 to $500 or more so even a few sales can add up quickly. The advantage to offering reviews of other people's products and referring your subscribers is that you can further build good will by telling them about great products while not directly selling them anything of your own. This positioning reduces the natural resistance new subscribers have to being sold and allows you to make money while you build up the relationship. Make sure that you give honest reviews based on your own personal experience with these products and don't just send out marketing materials for those products if you want this strategy to work. Remember, you are building trust with your subscriber and your honest, objective opinion about products and services that you recommend is what they expect from you.

Step 3: Once your list trusts you as an expert, eventually they will want to buy a product from you. The very nature of the bonding process will demand this and you can see that when you have a list clamoring to buy products from you there is hardly a better situation you could ask for. And, all you really need to do to produce products that your list will buy is to survey them and find out what want or what they are having problems with. Step 4: A natural progression from creating products is to offer a limited amount of your time for consulting and coaching with your subscribers. You will get requests for one on one time with you and if you position yourself correctly you will be able to charge a high rate per hour and work only with the clients you choose. This can be a fantastic income stream and can lead to more product ideas as you get to know your subscribers better and find out what they want at a deeper level.

Step 5: The biggest pay off will come when you organize live events such as retreats and seminars where you can bring together a large group of your subscribers to hear you and other speakers talk about subjects they are interested in. There is a huge opportunity to charge admission for these events as well as to sell more products and consulting from the speakers themselves.
