Rhinoplasty can be used to make the nose more delicate, remove bumps, and to sculpt it. Your surgeon may employ the newest techniques available, using grafts to augment the nose, as opposed to older techniques that remove cartilage and sometimes lead to a "ski jump" appearance. Rhinoplasty scars are hidden within the nostrils. You may not see the final results of your surgery until swelling resolves, which may take several weeks. The surgery procedure itself will take one and one half hours and is generally performed under general anesthesia. Patients will most likely return home the same day as the procedure. After recovering for seven days, the patient will be able to return to work. Bruising under the eyes, nasal congestion, and mild difficulty breathing may occur for several days after the surgery. When recovering from the procedure, it is important to remember to keep your head elevated. A splint will also be used on your nose for five days after the surgery.

Because of the special nature of the blood supply to the nose and surrounding area, it is possible for retrograde infections from the nasal area to spread to the brain. To reduce the risks follow the doctor's advice both before and after the surgery.

Neck liposuction fixes double chins and sharpens jaw lines. This type of liposuction removes excess fat from the neck and jowl area. The best candidates are usually people in their thirties and forties because of the elasticity of their skin which permits it to shrink down after the treatment.

The procedure itself requires only three small one-eighth inch incisions, one under the chin and one behind each ear. Bruising is minimal as the procedure is done using "tumescent" technique, during which saline solution, numbing medications, and epinephrine are injected beneath the skin. These injections compress and shrink blood vessels, reducing bleeding.

The procedure takes one and one half hours to complete, and is generally performed under local anesthesia, although twilight anesthesia is also an option. Patients can usually return home the same day as the procedure, and recovery time will generally be around five days. A chinstrap is wonr after the procedure to keep swelling down and help with any skin shrinkage that may occur. Neck massages may be able to help decrease swelling.
