1. Provide your visitors with free content, that is, articles or blog posts. Your content will be more attractive to your visitors if it's up-to-date or original. You could also offer people the option to reprint the content in their e-zine, blog, or web site. Always add your URL at the end of the articles so people can find you. This further attracts new and returning visitors, and, submit your original articles to directories such as this one - ArticleRich.com!
2. Give people a free subscription to your e-zine. Almost everyone is publishing a e-zine nowadays so it's important to give something extra with the free subscription. You could offer a free gift or advertising when people subscribe. If you do not have an ezine, there is a free program on one of my blogs (see Author Box).
3. Offer a free online directory or page of links to helpful resources like I do with my Newsman's Favorite Links Blog. The directory should be full of interesting ebooks, e-zines, web sites, etc. If people find your directory to be a valuable resource they will visit it over and over (see my Author Box).
4. Give your visitors a free ebook. I give links to these throughout my 15 blogs. I love Free! Some ebook writers even allow you to include your own ad or website URL in the ebook and allow other people to give it away when they get it from you. This is called Viral Marketing. Another way to spread the word about you! Hey, you could even write your own ebook and give it away! There are programs for this as well at My Links Blog.
5. Hold free online classes or seminars. They could be held in your web site's chat room. The idea of "live" information will definitely entice people to visit your web site. You will become known as an expert on the topic. You can even offer courses or classes via email to people who sign up.
6. Give visitors a free entry into your contest or sweepstakes. The prizes should be something of interest or value to your visitors. Most people who enter will continually revisit your web site to get the results. This does not have to be cash. It can be a valuable ebook that you got free from a Viral Marketer.
7. Let visitors download free software. It could be freeware, shareware, demos etc. You could even turn part of your site into a free software directory. If you created the software, include your ad inside and let other people give it away.
8. Offer free online services or utilities from your web site. They could be on search engine submitting, copy writing, article proofreading, etc. The service or utility should be helpful to your target audience.
9. Give free consulting to people who visit your web site. You could offer your knowledge via e-mail or by telephone. People will consider this a huge value because consulting fees can be very expensive. In fact, you can give them links or ebooks covering their area of interest but sign them up for email to get access to the information.
10. If you have an online Club, give your visitors a free membership for one year. People want to belong to something that benefits them, why not your online club. It could be a game club, video club, music club, writing club, etc. You could also give away a free e-zine for club members only. If your content is really unique, think about charging a monthly membership fee.
These are just 10 great ways to persuade visitors to keep in touch with you and that means a better page rank in the Search Engines!
Yours for success!

How To Site A Blog
Article marketing is an awesome way to provide content for sales letters, squeeze pages and blogs. To have enough content to get regular traffic you should spend time every month writing new articles. Eventually, you should have your articles scattered across the web, giving you hundreds of chances to get traffic to your site.
Article marketing is one of the greatest ways to get traffic on the internet and it is one of the few ways to get free traffic. Another reason you should be using article marketing strategies to market your website is that it will provide lasting traffic for a long time to come.
Article marketing and writing articles is also a great way for you to establish yourself as an expert or an authority in your field or niche.
There are a few things to consider when writing your articles.
Article Marketing Strategy Guidelines:
1. An article should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 to 800 words long.
2. Each article should be written or focused around one specific keyword phrase.
3. The keyword phrase should be used in the headline, the first and last paragraph and then just normally throughout the article as it makes sense.
4. Keyword density should be around 2% of your total words used in your article.
There are plenty of free tools available online that will tell you your keyword density within your article. If you find your density is too low, add keywords where you can without making the article sound weird. You can also edit out some of the text which will raise the keyword density.
If your articles keyword density is too high, then you will need to remove some of your keywords, write more text, or find different ways to say the same thing such as using the keyword "internet marketing" instead of "affiliate marketing".
5. Submit your articles to the most popular article marketing directories.
6. Post your articles on your blog or site.
7. You should always include a link back to your site or product within the signature or resource box at article marketing directories.
Getting Ideas For Articles:
1. One of the first things I suggest you do is to use a keyword research tool such as the Google AdWords keyword tool, Wordtracker or SEObook and type in one of your niche keyword phrases.
This let's you see what people are actually typing in and searching for on a regular basis. The reason for this is because you don't want to be wasting your time writing an article about something that no one is interested in.
You can then write articles about any or all of those keyword phrases.
2. Check out discussion forums. What are people talking about?
3. Look at http://Amazon.com for popular books/sellers.
4. Watch the news and read the newspaper. What is happening in the world that gets brought up over and over?
5. Go to article marketing directories such as http://ezinearticles.com, http://isnare.com, http://goarticles.com and others to see what other people in your niche are writing about.
6. Perform a search at Google for some of your niche related keywords and see what results come up and to see what others are writing about.
Writing Your Articles:
Whether the article marketing guidelines above make sense or not, the biggest thing you need to focus on is moving forward.
The way to do that is to choose a specific keyword phrase to write your article about.
Make the article at somewhere between 400-700 words.
Use the main keyword phrase:
- In your title
- Your first paragraph
- Your last paragraph
- Where ever else you can for it to sound natural.
How Many Articles Should I Write?
The thing with articles are, with effective article marketing you need to continue to write articles on a regular basis. So what I'm saying here is not to write an article, post it, and then wait a month to write another article. Try writing 1 article per day, or at least a couple or so per week and post them as mentioned above.
The more articles you distribute, the more chances for people to find your articles and be directed to your site. Article marketing is an effective way to drive traffic to your web page. Remember, the greater the number of people seeing your site, the greater chance you have of selling your product or service.
