They perform effective search engine optimization by researching online keywords, modifying their web copy and getting links to their web sites. Coaches, consultants and other service business owners also use article marketing by writing interesting articles and submitting them to targeted articles directories, web sites and blogs.
In short, coaches, consultants and other service business owners spend a lot of time on learning and implementing various online marketing techniques. And they are rewarded -- their web sites take off and they start getting considerable amount of good, targeted traffic to their web sites. However, despite all of the increased traffic, these business owners are not seeing any increase in sales of their products and services. It seems that their target customers come to their web sites, browse for a bit and leave without actually hiring them or buying their products.
So, what is wrong? What is wrong is that coaches, consultants and other service business owners do not have a working process to talk to their web site visitors. They have created a useful web site and generated a ton of web site traffic, but they stopped there.
What they should done is they should have created a process to be able to capture the e-mail addresses of their web site visitors and continue talking and marketing to them on a regular basis. This can be done by starting and publishing a regular newsletter.
Many coaches, consultants and other service business owners are afraid of publishing a newsletter -- they think that publishing a newsletter will take away too much time from their other business tasks. They want to start publishing a newsletter sometime in the future, sometime when they get a lot of web site traffic and become better known.
However, you should start your newsletter first, before you start working on getting web site traffic and before you become known. This is because your newsletter will help you build your traffic, and it will help you become known.
Here is a plan to help you start and publish your newsletter:
- Get A Service To Publish Your Newsletter. Research a few different services and pick the one that will best serve your needs.
- Decide How Often To Publish. If the idea of publishing weekly or every two weeks scares you, start by publishing your newsletter once a month. You can always switch to publishing more often, once you get used to it.
- Offer A Gift In Exchange For An E-mail Address. Make your potential newsletter subscribers a great offer! Give them an audio recording or a special report on a topic that interests them in exchange for subscribing to your newsletter.
- Market Your Newsletter Every Chance You Get. In order to have a successful newsletter, you need to have many newsletter subscribers. To get more subscribers you need to market your newsletter everywhere. This includes your web site, your e-mail signature, online networking groups and more.
Stop throwing away your targeted potential customers! The first thing that you need to do if you run an online business is to start and publish your newsletter. It will help you promote your expertise and connect with your potential customers on a regular basis.
How To Stop Throwing Up
It is a well known fact that any type of market is based on one premise, and that is the formula of supply and demand. When people want something, rest assured that there will be someone out there more than ready to provide that something. Never has this been truer than in the weight loss industry. It is an industry that is like a carnivorous animal that feeds on people's desperation to lose weight and to live healthy lives.
For each worthwhile and helpful solution that this industry provides, there is someone who in equal measure will offer a solution that provides answers which promise success but in reality the results are often the opposite. The aim of the creators of certain products is to make as much money as possible, and as quickly as possible. That money comes from you. You pay your money because you are manipulated into believing the pictures that they paint for you. Admittedly the pictures they paint can be very convincing, however you must remember that they have to be convincing.
There are so many products promising to help you lose weight, this is done by planting a vision in your head. This vision will stem from the words and images they portray for their product, and this vision when blended in with your desire becomes pretty powrful. However many of the products on offer have at best a minimal effect, and at worst are completely useless, or even dangerous.
People who want a quick and easy way of losing weight fall foul of the clever advertising and the hope that this may well be the product that is going to get them to shed the pounds. The funny thing is that at a deep level, the people who buy these products already know that they will not work. It is beyond belief that as intelligent adults we keep making the same mistakes time after time. However nothing stops them, they continue wasting their money in the desperate hope that this may well be the one that works.
Let us look at some of the products that have been touted as being the next best thing that is going to change your life by giving you the body that you crave:
Diet Pills:
The market is awash with hundreds of dieting pills. Each one making claims on how wonderful they are, and all of them claiming how much better they are compared to their competitors. There are pills that are meant to suppress your appetite. There are pills that claim to stop your body from absorbing the fat that you eat. There are pills that claim to suppress certain urges in your brain that will stop you craving for food. The thing to remember is that anything that you put into your body will have some sort of effect. This effect can be positive or it can be negative. Anything that claims to change the natural physiology of your body must be treated with caution and researched prior to consumption.
Also keep in mind that if you have spent years of living an unhealthy lifestyle and are overweight because of it, the chances of regaining any health by popping a few pills for a couple of months are pretty poor to say the least. Pills are not going to give you that lean muscular waistline. Only exercise is going to do that. Be wary of pills that are meant to come from some natural plant or flower. You know what I mean; we have all seen the descriptions of how certain pills have been extracted from some rare plant which is only found on some remote mountain in Peru. If this plant is so rare how can a company manage to produce millions of pills? Keep in mind that there are many dangerous drugs that come naturally from plants. That does not make them safe or an effective aid to weight loss.
Slimming Creams:
There were and possibly still are certain creams that were marketed as weight loss aids. The idea was that by rubbing this cream on certain areas of your body would enable you to reduce fat. It's incredible that making such a claim would not have been deemed to have been illegal. It is a complete fantasy to even think that such product could have any impact on weight loss, but it didn't stop people from buying it. Weight loss occurs when you are burning more calories than you are consuming, it is that simple. Of course you would lose a couple of calories by the very movement of your hand as you rub the cream on, but calorie reduction at that rate would be equal to losing one pound in around 3 years. Obviously not the ideal route to losing weight.
Slimming Suits/Pants:
These products are not even weight loss products but still sell in their thousands. This product doesn't fool the people you know, they still know you are overweight, and are just trying to hide it. This doesn't solve a thing; all it does is to hide the problem temporarily. These products may also be dangerous and uncomfortable, they do not let your skin breathe, and can lead to overheating and dizziness. Any problem requires a real solution to get rid of it,and not a solution that is going to just hide the problem,as this will never get rid of it.
If you want to lose weight you need to think of real solutions, and you already know what they are. The problem is that most people who want to lose weight do not want it to have an impact on their lifestyles. In fact it is the lives that people have been leading which has contributed to their current situation. Change can be difficult, our bodies and minds do not like change, and we are safe in our comfort zones and our habits. The truth is that your body will adapt to change fairly quickly if done in small steps, and on a regular basis. The hardest part of any change is making the decision to do something and sticking to it. If you want to seriously lose weight then it is time to get serious about doing so, or you can carry on doing what you have been doing, ending up with the same results that you have always had.
