How To Store And Sort Your LEGO Toys?

    View:
Playing and building with Lego toys is very educational and a lot of fun until it's time to put them back for the day. How you can organize and hoard your LEGO toys largely depends on its size and the way of playing. There is no absolute wrong or right way; however here are some important guidelines in order to help you manage and store your toys well.

The Lego brand is very widespread, having crossed over into every well known genre, both TV and film. SpongeBob Squarepants, Harry Potter, Star Wars and Indiana Jones are all a part of the famous Lego Toy sets that the Lego focus groups determine to target.

Store them in an unsorted way. This method of toys storage is very useful for the collections of about or more than 5000 pieces. You must keep all your LEGO pieces right in the center of a big cloth like a small bed sheet or so. Grab the four corners, lift up the sheet along with the contents in it, and simply drop it in a drawer or bucket. You can even personalize the sheep by cutting it into a circle and attaching a drawstring to it making it easier for you to pull it together. This way you can keep all your toys in one place.

Sort them by their different set: This method of sorting your Lego toys is ideal for those builders who like to build the sets using the original instructions repeatedly. You can either place each of the sets into a different box, or simple combine two or more sets of the similar theme into one box. The boxes that these Lego toys come in originally are much larger than required, however they can make a fantastic place to keep the multiple sets of LEGO toys. Clear bags or boxes enable you to easily make out which set is in which box.

Sort them by their respective sizes: This toy storage method is best for collections of around 10,000 pieces or more. Usually the smaller pieces of the lot find their way right to the bottom; hence it gets much easier if you keep them in a separate box.

Sort them by their category: This way of storage is ideal for the Lego collections that are about 10,000 pieces or more. Before your huge collection gets difficult to sort out, you may decide to keep your plates, slopes and bricks separately.

Sort them by the various parts: In this way of sorting your Lego pieces you will require many containers. You can buy medium sized containers and store all the different parts in different ones. This method too is practical only for the larger set of toys.

Sort them by the different colors: This should be attempted only after the toys have been sorted by parts. This method of sorting out your Lego toys requires an extensive investment of space and is generally attempted by those collectors who have a set of fewer than 50,000 pieces. It is also very useful for those collectors who like to make visually remarkable creations using their LEGO bricks and pieces. You must use several same sized transparent plastic containers to attempt this.
