MY STORY: My success has been through writing and selling (sometimes giving away) ebook on topics I have practical experience in. In my pay-per-title ebook, I share my knowledge (tooting my own horn) of the clerical support field, gained over a 14 yr period.



The free ebook I use, more or less, as a "teaser" to introduce possible customers to my style of writing. Some freebie ebook feature related Clickbank links (for commission), others I include rotating banners ads (charging others to have their banner included in the rotation).

My goal when I initially started was not to get rich...just to earn enough money to pay for my monthly internet and hosting fees. So far (crossing my fingers AND knocking on wood), I have met that goal plus some :) Format each chapter in your book. Your consistency, your organized, focused copy will compel your reader to want to read every chapter because they are easy to understand.

Most writers start writing before they are sure of their e-Book's main focus or thesis. The thesis is your book's major answer for a problem your targeted audience has. "Five Ways to Market Your Book Online" has its thesis built into the title, a definite plus. You know by the title you'll learn five online marketing techniques to overcome your problem of not selling enough ebook.

Before you write any chapters except chapter one, make each chapter title a mini thesis that also answers a part of your whole book's thesis. For the title "Five Ways to Market Your Book Online" you will have 5 chapters that all have to do with the title. Let's say one chapter is titled "Market your Book through Free Articles."

In this chapter you need to sketch out what your format will be before you write a single word.

1. For instance, you may open the chapter with a pertinent quote.? Articles are the # One Way to Promote your Books and Services" by Judy Collins, Book Coach.

You may open with several thought-provoking questions or shocking facts. You may even start with a short story or analogy. Any opening needs to hook your reader to keep reading.

HOW YOU CAN SUCCEED, TOO:

1) Write an ORIGINAL info-ebook on a topic you have practical knowledge or experience in.

2) Use an attractive layout/template that is easy for the newest of newbies to navigate.

3) Offer a free or shareware version, if at all possible. 4) Invest in an attractive ebook cover.

5) Obtain paid hosting...avoid free servers with forced pop-up and pop-under ads that can distract from your site's appeal or lure visitors away.

6) Create a "partner" program (Click Bank's an excellent choice).

7) Be fair to affiliates. Offer ONE form of payment processing.

You will need to expend a little money to make a little money. For added revenue, include a banner rotation...and offer your visitors the opportunity to "advertise in ALL freebie ebook" for the low, low price of...
