How To Use Golf Clubs

    View:
There is nothing like learning from other golfers from watching the pros for learning the nuances of the game of golf. And when you do that, it is pretty amazing to see how powerful and fast the swings of those who play the game well are. So naturally we want to set out to get this much power into our swings as well. But how to do that is the question. So people who make it their living to help new golfers get their game up have created a golf training club that is focused specifically on this priority.

The internet is full of sites that will sell you great golf training clubs of all kinds and the different models and goals of different ones is really amazing to browse. But to get that powerful swing we want, a weighted club is perfect because it can be used to exactly duplicate your swing during play but to do so while adding weight for resistance which creates stress on those muscles. This is an ideal work out because you are not only improving your swing but focusing on the muscles that are used for a fast drive but also introducing a weight training aspect to your trial swings with the training club.

You can expect a couple things will happen when you start using a golf training club. First you will get sore because you are essentially lifting weights and the muscles that work hard during your drive will get stressed. But the second outcome will be the significant better performance you can expect from yourself during the game which will mean longer drives and lower golf scores. On top of that you should feel generally more limber and flexible and see your backswing and follow through smooth and deliver the results you want from the drive.

This is not to say that just working out with a weighted golf training club will take you from out of shape to fit in every respect. If you are enjoying golf for the health benefits, you will still need to work on your overall fitness to build stamina and address specific physical problems you may notice now that you are active athletically playing golf.

It's important to see the step of beginning to use a golf training club as part of a total physical workout. And "getting in shape for golf" is one way to very quickly improve your game. But since the club itself is not a comprehensive work out plan, you should work with your health club trainer to add exercises for your legs, your lower back and cardio exercises as well to give you a total strength to support your game as well as good stamina.

One way you will use the golf training club is for warm up before the game. You can do this anywhere and just use your training club for a couple dozen test swings. This will limber you up to be ready to get out there and play the best game possible. It's a great way to be ready for "battle" because the training club gets the specific muscle groups you need during your game stretched and ready to exercise.

As with any form of exercise, particularly those with weights, some caution is in order. After using your training club to warm up, do a few swings with your regular clubs. That will assure that you will get physically oriented to normal golf clubs so the training club doesn't throw off your balance before you even start to play. Also take the test swinging with the training golf club easy and don't overdo it, particularly right before the game. There is no sense in causing muscle fatigue or strain as you go into the athletic competition of a long day of golf.

Looking to add a golf training club to your efforts to get up to speed as a new golfer is a smart idea. The training club can jump start your efforts to build muscle and tone as you get in good shape to play golf regularly. But even after you are a seasoned veteran at golf, you may find keeping the golf training club in your routine continues to benefit your game. And because the training club is part of a well rounded program of health to keep you flexible and your strength fully enabled, you will see the results in that powerful and fast swing you always admired in how your golf heroes play the game.

Why Use a Driving Range?

Hitting straight drives is the aim of every golfer. Keeping the ball in play is essential to good scoring. The use of a driving range can help you achieve those objectives.

Newcomer Driving Range Tips

Welcome to the driving range, the place where every beginner should spend many hours hitting the ball in order to perfect their technique.

But, you will find more than beginner golfers at the driving range. You will also find seasoned golf players, those who find it important to sharpen up their skills whenever they find spare moments.

The Typical Driving Range

Most driving ranges are similar. Most contain at least 30 to 50 separate stalls. In this way, you can have your own individual space and privacy. You are separated from the other golfers by barriers made from wood or steal.

Inside will be a tray that contains your golf balls along with an artificial green turf mat, approximately 6 feet square. The average cost is around $5 for a bucket of balls. It will contain anywhere from 50 to 100 golf balls.

At the end of the artificial turf mat you will find a rubber tee that is located on one side of the area. This is where each golf ball will be placed for your shots. Larger golf clubs are typically used here, especially the driver.

However, many golf players may make their shots from the mat instead of the tee, using their irons. The reason is that this resembles the feel of hitting from real grass.

Your Goal In Using The Range

Your local driving range will have measured markers, located in the field which helps you to see the distance your ball has traveled. These markers should be 75 yards, 100 yards, 125 yards, 150 yards, 175 yards, 200 yards, & 250 yards.

The purpose of these measurements can be different for each golfer. For the beginner, he/she has an opportunity to find out how far each of his/her clubs will hit the ball. This is very important knowledge to draw upon when you are on the course.

Always Focus On A Target

As a bonus, some driving ranges offer simulated green areas. They will have flagsticks set up at different lengths. In this way, you can swing right for the hole.

However, flagstick or not, always have a target in mind when swinging. By hitting balls haphazardly, you will not learn how to focus on a target and control your shots when needed.

Why is the Use of a Driving Range Important?

Golfers involved in a game of eighteen holes get some practice, but this practice is not constant or focused on a particular skill. The play with a group of four on a course does not give a golfer the chance to take time to review what is going right or wrong.
