4) Proof read and edit.

There is a difference between proof reading and editing. When proof reading, you are looking out for typos and grammar mistakes. Also, make sure that your essay has proper formatting.

When editing, you are paying more attention to sentence structure and content. In other words, it's about how you express yourself. If you find some sentences that don't sound right, you may wish to edit them.

5) Organization and presentation.

Organizing your content is important as well. Your reader should not feel lost when reading your essay. This can happen when an essay is poorly organized.
