From the looks of things, this technology has come around just in time. I guess that this is no coincidence. Through the years this technology has been involved with scandal and lies, and only just now is it starting to emerge to the public on a large scale. Its likely that we will start to see a lot more of this technology in our society.

The basic premis of how the water or hydrogen fuel cell works is that it passes an electric current through water, a process known as electrolysis, this electrical charge splits the molecules within water, normally the two hydrogen atoms are bound to the single oxygen atom, with the seperation process, the hydrogen atoms get split off from the oxygen, and whats left over is two seperate hydrogen atoms and a single oxygen atom.

Whats left over when this process has taken place is a gas that has been named Brown's gas, after the man who first came across the very simplified version of this technology in the 70's. Many people who know about this technology, go around believing the limited beliefs that have been fed to them by those who suppressed the technology for many years. The fact that many car companies are now using this technology, suggests to us that in fact this technology actually works.

The situation of peak oil in the world now is getting very serious. We have now gone through over 50% of the worlds known supplies, this means that if we can go through that much in just 100 years (since the beginnning of the industrial revolution) then we do not have that much longer to go, as our population is multiplying at levels much faster all the time. No longer is the only option to buy a brand new hybrid car, we now have cheap means available to convert our engines to run on water. For a small price a hydrogen fuel cell kit can be purchased and installed, and for an even smaller price you can invest in a DIY guide and install a hydrogen car kit yourself, or even have your local mechanic do it for you.

This is a very cost effective way of using this technology in your own life as soon as possible, and if lots of people begin to do this, it will have a dramatic effect on our consumption of oil, and could greatly work to cut down the rate at which we are burning this valuable and limited fossil fuel. As a society we have an obligation to think about our resources on this planet in a responsible manner, and that means utilizing more eco friendly and renewable energy sources as we can.

It is vitally important that we all remember our power and the effect of our actions on the community and world at large around us, I feel that if enough people start to implement this technology, it could actually rid our need for oil use all together within the next 10 to 15 years.
