Well, in some situations, bosses are so unprofessional, hate should turn into action. For example, racist or sexist bosses needed to be reported, since these behaviors are unacceptable. The same can be said for bosses who are emotionally abusive. Of course, filing a report may not do anything, but you'd be surprised at how many people do not even take that step. Sometimes bosses might change if they feel their job is in jeopardy.
Now, if filing a report does not work, or if it is not possible, employees may want to consider getting a different job. Yes, such advice might seem cliche, but it really holds true. No one can perform well in an environment where they are constantly harassed or degraded. There are just too many other jobs out there.
Of course, if money is a concern, employees are going to have to plan things out before quitting. Some solutions could involve getting a roommate or selling an expensive possession. Or, perhaps the Internet could offer a small income, whether it is selling on e-Bay, writing articles for Associated Content or even signing up for paid surveys.
Regardless, be careful before you do anything illegal. Many people naturally gravitate towards wanting to get revenge, or get even, with an ill-tempered boss. Keep in mind, that will get both of you nowhere. Well, unless the revenge tactic is ethical and legal. There are plenty of good tactics out there... do some research, I bet you can find something fun that you will not feel guilty about afterwards. Always remember, revenge is a dish best served cold! And, actually, you may just enjoy it.
But always keep in mind, you will most likely need your boss in the future. Almost every employer nowadays will check with past employers for references. The last thing you need is to be given a bad reference - it can ruin your career. Of course, if you are not on good terms with your boss right now, you may not get the best reference in the world, but that will be a whole lot better then getting a negative reference. At least if you stay on good terms with your boss, they will either give you a decent reference, or not comment at all.
In conclusion, if you are one of the people saying I hate my boss, you need to do something about it. Do not wait around expecting your boss to change, because chances are they will not. Just worry about making yourself happy… even if it means taking a risk and quitting your job. At first you may be really scared, but eventually you will realize that it was the best decision you could make. Remember, money means nothing if you have to sacrifice your personal happiness in order to make it.
I Hate My Roommates
It's true. I hate my personal trainer. He called me AGAIN at5am this morning to make sure I got out of bed and headed to the gym. Ianswered the phone, but then I tried to cough and sound like I was coming downwith something. Know what he said? ?I don't buy it.? Well'he was right. Yousee, I am not a morning person. In addition, for most of my life, I have notbeen an exercise person, that is, until about 6 weeks ago.
It's not that I don't have motivation. I mean, sure, I want tolose weight, get in shape, and build muscle, all of that. Who doesn't? Theproblem is it takes a lot of work. Work that up until now I just wasn't puttingin. It finally took my daughter to push me to seek a personal trainer. ?Daddy, are you fat?? my little angel said. The honesty of a 5 year old came crashingdown right on my head'or fat belly as the case may be. It was this sweet, innocent question that made me decide to make a change and get in shape, finally.
I never really bought into the idea of a personal trainerwhen I was younger. I can lift weights, I can run, what the heck do I need topay somebody for? I always thought it was a waste of time and money honestly. Iremember going to work the day after my daughter asked her million dollar question. This kid, (I call him a kid, but he is probably about 30) named Danny, workedin the sales department of my company. I noticed that over the past 6 months orso, he was really getting into shape. He lost his little boy pudgy look, andinstead, looked trim, and his chest and arms were pushing through his shirt aswell.
I guess now that I had decided to make a change in my ownlife, I was noticing the changes in others. I spoke to Danny about histransformation; he was happy to share and beamed from ear to ear. It turns out,to my surprise, Danny had been working out with a personal trainer for the last6 months! This just about floored me. This kid was good looking, young, healthy; not at all someone whom I thought would need a personal trainer. Hesaid his girlfriend recommend he give it a try since he lacked the motivationto get the results all by himself (sounded like he was talking about ME). Hegave me his trainer's card; THE SERGEANT, it barked from the glossy blackbackground. Hmmm?this might just work.
Well, that was 6 weeks ago. I am standing here, putting onmy workout pants. Pants that would not have fit me 6 weeks ago, now slid onwith ease. I think I have lost about 10 lbs now. I don't even care about thatthough. The feeling I have in my body, the muscles getting tighter, the factthat I can work out hard for about an hour whereas before I couldn't jog inplace for 5 minutes, all of these keep me going forward. Yes, I say I hate mypersonal trainer, but the fact is, without his pushing, without his yelling inmy ear, without his driving me to eat better, use strict form when liftingweights, and yes, get up at 5am every morning to hit the gym, I wouldn't bewhere I am today.
For some folks, hiring a personal trainer is something theywould never consider. For me, hiring a personal trainer was the best thing Ihave ever done in my life. I am happier than I have ever been, (and so is mywife?) and my little baby girl is wondering where Daddy's belly went byebye?yes, I hate my personal trainer, but, I love him too.
