4. Polymer screed: This is a modified version of the concrete floor screeding. The polymer screed was specially created so as to meet the requirement of the factory owners who required tougher floorings with better bond properties. This was created by including a synthetic polymer known as resin into the factory mixed cement and sand screeds which thus increases the toughness and the bond properties. They are thus more frequently used on bases such as refurbishment work where achieving the normal minimum required thickness can't be obtained.
