Most of the quieter beaches can be found in the north of the island. Try visiting Xarracca , Rencli de S'illot or Xuclar. At the start of the season you'll only find a few people on the beach.
For calm and crystal clear water ideal for the snorkeler or diver try Cala Vadella, overlooking Es Vedra. It's a great looking bay. You can pedalo or jet skis or go for a snack at one of the excellent restaurants/cafes. It gets very busy on Sundays and parking can be a problem. If you get worked up about it you've got all day to relax on the beach. You could even try a massage.
If you don't have access to a car and are in San Antonio, go to the marina and grab a boat to Cala Conta or Cala Bassa , both of these beaches are excellent for families, as the water is very shallow and usually very calm. Cala Conta is the better of the two, but the boats do not go there on Sundays.
If you cant' get a bus or boat out of San An try and get a beach spot in front of Bar M. Then when the sun goes down pop around to the sunset strip for a sun downer.
Cala Salada is very popular with the Spanish the restaurant here is very busy and the standard is very good.
