However we must not forget that today everything is analyzed to the core, so intelligence quotient is one aspect, then there is the emotional side, and now the spiritual side is also recognized.Definitely the holistic approach is most important for personality to be fully developed. But mishaps occur and at times when opportunities arise, even sincere efforts and diligent pursuits fail to give the desired results.



But such cases which are many in number are our 'learning experiences', they broaden our outlook and encourage us to start all over again taking a different path. This develops patience and an unfailing belief that we can achieve anything.

There are three distinct things which can be done by us today -- Look out carefully, you will catch many things, and your perception will be according to your inner self.

There is a small story about this particular point which is 'As within, so without'. Once an outsider came to a new village. As he was entering he saw an old man sitting on his cot. He asked the elderly villager as to how were the people of his village. The old man, instead of answering him put a question to him and asked 'How were the people in the village you are coming from?' The man moaned 'Oh, they were terrible people, selfish and miserable, that is why I have left that place. 'The odd man thought for a second and replied, they are like that here also, so you will face the same problems. Both the men sat down and started chit chatting.

In a short while another visitor entered the village and seeing the old man, introduced himself and asked him the same question, as to how were the people of the village. To his query the same counter question was asked. His reply however was quite the contrary to the first visitors. He was all praises for his fellow men of the last village, and gave details of how kind and helpful they were. The old man answered him in the same vein and said 'So are the people here, you will find them very friendly and helpful.

The first visitor who was also hearing the conversation felt very upset and grumbled to the old man, 'but you told me the people were nasty here too and now you are contradicting yourself. He was almost ready to fight when the old man revealed the basic truth to him.

He said to him, 'My young man, you will find the world exactly as you are, so just be to others what you want them to be towards yourself and you will see that it is a game of tit for tat.

The second point too emphasis is this, that examining your internal world is of great importance. You can imagine that you possess a mirror which can reflect your habitual behavior pattern, something that no one else can really see. Once you access yourself like this you are at the consciousness level where you have the choice to leave it or take it further.

The third is associated with the physical activity of a ritual. We all have daily rituals for our body, like cleaning our teeth and body, but we can set aside sometime for cleansing of the mind too. Get focussed and meditate, and find out what is it that you really want and what is withholding you from getting you there.

The universal energy is with you and it will surely answer you, so just do not ask in a hurry, but take time to decide what really is required by you. To conclude, the experience of the magnificent , vast nature, the beauty and the unlimited energy that is all around us, can help us get what we want. We have to know how to rein our mind and there is such ecstasy that we in our normal senses can perhaps never even imagine.
