"Nothing happens until something moves." Einstein said that (or a paraphrase of that) as he searched for the solution of his life long mind bender. Have you ever thought that without our brains coming up with new ideas we would have no reason to take action and without taking action we would have nothing to keep us living in the world?
Yes, there is continuous unconscious action in our world. The ebb and flow of the tides and the twirling of the earth on its axis and the daily life cycles of billions of humans on our planet all are part of the action of life.
But what about acting in a Conscious way? Have you been searching through the complexities of your daily routines and found that something is amiss? Just slightly awry in the way you go about seeking your goals, doing your good deeds, making your mistakes and following the crowd?
I ran into that a few years ago and began to search for a slightly deeper meaning, not a cataclysmic change, but a shift in life direction. I found myself looking into the mirror and seeing a person living the life of others' expectations. Fearful of change and fearful of remaining the same, I took inspired action, one step at a time!
Inspired action can be taken by going within, it can be thoughtful, decisive, directed, even directionless. Making no decision is certainly an action and taking no action has consequences as well. It is always a personal choice and responsibility.
How do you know that it may be time to take some inspired action? I discovered that the following signs showed me that inspired action was necessary to live a more conscious life.
One sign is discomfort. Identifying the thought or bodily sensation that is making you feel uncomfortable has a number of inspired actions associated with it that you can take.
1. Observe the thought without letting it control you.
2. Reframe the thought by asking yourself, So, What DO I want instead of this feeling?
3. List a few actions that will give you some relief from this feeling.
Ask yourself, "Can I do something now that will have a positive effect on me?" One way that I take inspired action on a regular basis is by taking a walk, which helps me break up the day, clears my mind, and puts my body into a rhythm of action, so when I return I can accomplish tasks with renewed energy and vitality.
Another sign is that you find yourself asking for things that you haven't before. As you become clear in your intention, your rockets of desire are part of your own thinking process, your own energy, and your own vibration.
The next sign I notice is way too many things I want to do! Are you a procrastinator or a 'sensor of vibrational alignment?' Do you have a nagging list of "To do's" that never seems to move to the "Done" stage? It is very possible that your own inner processes are working at sorting things vibrationally. It just may not be the best time for that particular action to be done.
This is not to say that you now have an excuse for inaction! It is what it is. If you find that there are actions that you want to take but they keep getting pushed off to the side or onto the back burner, question whether there is some action that you can take now to clear the resistance of doing that thing, or do another thing to prepare for that to occur....
ACT on who you truly are, not by a mold others may have pressed you into! As you follow your intuition, you will know all along the way what resonates with you in taking Inspired Action.
