Almost all the opportunities out there teach hype to their members or marketing teams. This is a fact. Most ebooks that exist on clickbank concerning internet marketing or online business has hype. Even the one's that are good ebooks or opportunities.



Look, everyone pushes hype whether the ebook or opportunity is fantastic or not. Point is, that's what they teach us, and research shows, that marketing with enthusiasm drives readership,

sales and subscriptions higher, hence the hype.

Look at the headlines, sales pages, landing pages of any info product and the all have hype in them. If they don't, people just aren't attracted to them.

Case and point is the rich jerk. Many people were offended by this guys ebook and sales page. But the bottom line is that he made money, and lot's off it! You can say whatever you want about the rudeness and the arrogance that his sales letter portrayed,

but there is no doubt about its effectiveness. Was that hype? Sure it was! Did it work! Your darn right it did...like a charm!

As far as the quality was concern, I wasn't really impressed with the information presented. In fact I would go as far as saying I felt cheated out of my $50 bucks. But he isn't the first one that I felt that way! Although this is a problem with the digital product industry, this also presents an opportunity to over deliver on your digital products. Because most of the quality out there isn't worth a buffalo nickel, by you making a decent digital product really would accentuate your reputation and how you run your business.

The question then for us is, when we create our web pages, sales letters, lead pages, ezine ads or what have you. Do we do the same or do we say no to the hype? I think as a marketer you have to generate attention to your product, but keep it within

reason. Secondly, make sure that your product is of good quality so that your customer comes away learning a valuable technique that he/she learned from your info-product. Thirdly contact your

customer using your own e-mail address (not your auto responder)and ask him/her if they are satisfied with the product and if not,how can you make it right. You might not offer a refund, but maybe you can throw in some sort of bonus or addition. If all else fails, don't risk your reputation on one or two refunds or

bad reviews. Correct the issue the best you can, and move on.

I think it goes without saying but just to clarify: Trying to generate a profit in these markets when your competition are EXPERTS at doing what you are still learning how to do is a recipe for disaster.

What I am about to tell you is by no means new advice but I never cease to notice the number of IM'ers failing to heed this advice.

The advice? You have to (if your starting out anyway) focus on a niche market! You have to concentrate on creating monetized sites in markets where your pages have a chance to be found by people through search engines.

Of course there are other ways to get traffic. The other most common form for newbies is to use pay per click campaigns. The problem is that the keywords in these enormous markets are so expensive and hence usually out of reach for the new marketer.

By focusing on a niche market you instantly increase your chances of success ten fold! You will spend less money, get more traffic and be able to hone your skills in a more ‘friendly' environment. If you start out this way you may be able to gather the expertise to properly compete in the super competitive markets later on down the track!

This principle is effective regardless of the way you plan to monetize your site. For example you will want to apply this idea if you are publishing adsense sites, promoting affiliate programs or creating your own product.

The only question is “how do I find a niche”? The internet is such an amazing place that new markets are being created every day so unlike the big impenetrable markets there is an endless supply of niches.
