For instance, will you want to work just inside the courtroom or also work for various law firms as they need recording for their cases? Or maybe you would prefer to stay out of the legal system entirely and work in broadcast captioning or even work as a freelancer doing various stenographer works? But regardless of which you choose you will need to know what it is so that you can choose the right school for that particular field.
However, out of all of those fields you will find that more and more people are choosing to go into freelance work when it comes to utilizing their stenographer training. Not only does this allow them to have the freedom to be their own boss and stay at home if they so wish but it also gives them the chance to get proficient at all the different types of stenography work. And in this day in age it is important to be versatile in the workforce.
