If you are like me you probably have searched the web in the hopes of learning how to make a living online or maybe just a few extra bucks. The impetus for my most recent foray into internet marketing was a conversation I happen to have at work one day. I work full time in the banking industry and my manager was telling me about one of his customers who was applying for a loan. As part of the qualification process the customer had to verify his employment and annual income. His source of income was through a website he owned that provided games for children to play online. On his website he had a number of affiliate links. Every time one of the parents clicked one of the links on the site and then purchased that sponsors product, he got paid a commission. Get this, he was averaging about $5000 per month from just this one site! I know for a fact it was true because I actually was able to see his pay stub and tax return. Even better, the site was now practically running itself. This was the first time I was really able to see the true potential of an Internet business. This wasn't coming from some second hand info, you know, I have a friend who has as friend blah, blah, blah or spam email or an ad on the Internet. I saw this with my own eyes!

Now perhaps in your own research you have come across the Wealthy Affiliate website and are trying to decide if you should take the leap and buy Wealthy Affiliate. I decided to join The Wealthy Affiliate University several months ago and I can tell you it is nothing like that. There are no promises of becoming overnight millionaires. What they state is, if you join or buy the wealthy affiliate and implement the concepts they teach and utilize the tools they provide, you will make money.

You will have to work at it and much will depend on how much time and effort you put into it.

There are currently members at wealthy affiliate who have started making a full-time income in about a year after buying wealthy affiliate. There is no reason think you or I can't do it, after all it's not rocket science.

There is SO much information there that it can actually be overwhelming! The way they try to combat some of the confusion is by implementing their 8 Week Action Plan.

The 8 Week Action Plan is a series of steps you are asked to perform after you have become a member. They are basically classes each week in the various methods of marketing on the Internet. The classes get progressively more difficult as you advance.

The classes include instruction in article writing, PPC, feeder-sites, landing pages, squeeze pages, google adwords, Keyword Optimization, utilizing affiliate sponsors such as Click bank and much more. One other important facet, and I cannot state this strongly enough, is the help from the more experienced members of wealthy affiliate. There are constant tips on how to make a go of it with wealthy affiliate.

There many, many people making a good living every year on the Internet and that number is only increasing. I just think about how great it would be to be able to quit the rat race someday. That's what I hope to do in the future.

There is no long term commitment so you can quit anytime, You will be more than pleasantly surprised to find that there really is an honest program out there that will help you be successful online whether you're looking to eventually quit your day job or just make a little extra money.
