If you left your 9-5 office job because you wanted to get away from the daily grind then you might be disappointed to find yourself in a similar situation once you've left your office behind. You might find you miss things like water cooler conversations with coworkers to break the monotony of daily work tasks.



Not everyone will feel this way because they will break up their day with diversions and business activities. Others may be comfortable working in peace and quiet in a private environment. You may find yourself working from your hotel room, or a fast food restaurant where you decide to take a break from your journey. Or you might work from a hospital bed when you yourself are ill.

The opportunity may present itself for you to accompany family on a vacation or road trip that is too long for you to be away from work. With the ability to take your home office with you there is the freedom to take your work on the road balancing business with pleasure.

Not every work at home occupation is as mobile as this, but computer based work, and even things like sewing and knitting can be taken with you. As with many other aspects of working at home, the flexibility is great when it comes to choosing where you want to work from on any particular day of your working week.
