With the popularity of home decorating shows, the home d'cor business is booming! The decorating craze has spilled over into the pet industry. It sounds strange at first, but it makes perfect sense. These days? pets are thought of as family members. Our pets have belongings just as we do and we want those belongings to coordinate well with our things.
It is a well-known fact that more time is spent in the kitchen entertaining than any other room in the home. Homeowners are quite conscious of the look of their kitchens. Gone are the days of mis-matched ugly plastic dog food bowls. Say hello to raised cherry wood dog diners, raised wrought iron dog feeders, stainless steel dog bowls and colorful hand-painted ceramic designer pet bowls. There is something out there to go with any kitchen d'cor. Today homeowners are not only coordinating their pets bowls to their own d'cor, they are buying coordinating pet placemats to complete the ensemble.
It does not stop in the kitchen. Pet beds are now available in a wide variety of shapes sizes and colors. Instead of dragging pet beds from room to room, more and more homeowners keep a pet bed in their master bedroom and in the family room. Pet beds come in plaids, florals, solids, velvet and more. The choices are endless.
Homeowners think of their pets when furnishing their homes too. It is smart to match your upholstery and carpeting to your pet. If you have a white cat or dog, pick a light colored fabric. If you have a multi-colored, pet, patterned furniture is less likely to show pet hair. Paying attention to textures can be the key to less pet hair on furniture. Heavily textured fabric tends to grab pet hair; where as less textured fabric does not.
Home should be a haven for all family members, including our furry family members!
Keep Pet Off Furniture
Everywhere we look there are magazines, ads, articles and TV programs about Wellness, Life & Health and a lot of other types of wellness products and services. Common for most of them are that they can cost you an arm and a leg if you don't know what you are doing and you don't do your research properly. It is not difficult to find the right products and services that will help you out but you will need to do a little bit of investigation for yourself.
First lesson is to never trust ads. In fact that is a rule that apply for every product and service that is being offered. Advertizing is made to sell and has never been and will probably never become objective. No one want to share disadvantages of their products with potential customers? That doesn't make sense.
Now, as well as staying healthy as a human being we'll need to take care of our pets so that they too can stay fit and live long lives. After all they are part of the family (in most families at least). But it can be hard to find out what you yourself should eat so how do you find out what to feed your pet?
There are many ways to go about finding the best pet food but investigation have shown that one of the fastest ways to find the right health products for your dog, cat or whatever pet that you own, is to find other pet owners that have the same type of pet. Have a conversation with them and learn from their experiences with different kinds of products. They might not all agree but if you talk to several pet owners you'll find that some products are preferred more than others.
You could even visit different kennels or pet associations to meet with many pet owners all at once. That will definitely be a time saver. Set yourself a goal to talk to at least 25-30 people before making up your mind. That is a sufficient amount to use as a reference but if you want you can easily talk to more. You can even talk to your VET but keep in mind that many VETs are sponsored in one way or another (directly or indirectly) but companies that might produce pet food and they might not be a all objective when recommending you a product.
Finally you will need to gather your own experiences. See how your pet reacts and use that as a reference as well. Your pet is unique and should be treated as such.
