Keyword Frequency

Keyword frequency is slightly different from keyword density. Frequency is number of count of the particular keyword while density is percentage of number of times the search engines find the keyword in the content for indexing it for the searches with total number of words in the content.

So do not mix density with frequency. For example take this article. If you put "keyword" as the keyword in the calculator, you will find its density as 10.4% while if you calculate manually for frequency it is just 7.9%

Keyword Prominence

Keyword prominence is how it is placed in the webpage. Keywords can be placed in the title, in the headline tags, and may be bold, italics, underline etc. as also where they are placed on the webpage.

To do this its essential to place the keyword atleast in all the headlines, first and last paragraphs on the content.

Keyword Proximity

Keyword proximity is how close two or more keywords placed on the webpage. As far as possible close the keywords to each other.

Search engines give preference to such keywords which are close to each other.

1. Always do research for keywords.

2. Decide keywords first and then start writing.

4. Add keywords till you reach the desired keyword density.

5. Publish or send the page to directory or employer.
