Grandma's house was always fun to visit. Along with the cookie jar at the end of the breakfast bar, there were these cool kitchen stools to sit on. The kitchen stools at Grandma's house swiveled and spun around really fast. The best thing about Grandma's kitchen stools was sitting on them while Grandma baked cookies to put in her orange cookie jar.
Being able to reach the counter, and help, or at least feel like I was helping, was a special treat. Grandma's cookies, kitchen stools, grandma and me; what wonderful memories I have.
Now
Grandma may be gone, but the memories of being in her kitchen and sitting on the spinning kitchen stool will stay with me forever. Now I'm a mom, and someday I will be a grandma. I plan on having a place in my kitchen so my grandchildren can sit and visit with me while I cook and clean in my own kitchen. Much like grandma's kitchen stools, I will have kitchen stools as well. Mine will be comfortable, stylish, and attractive to the eye. They will spin and be able to be moved from the breakfast bar to the counter.
When I am a grandma, I will enjoy the company of my kids and their kids, and they will enjoy sitting on my kitchen stools, making memories, and baking cookies. Talking, dreaming, and planning a future together- with the comfort of knowing that the enjoyment of kitchen stools, and the fun times with them, has added memories of good times, to another generation of my family.
Sentiment
Some people may think it silly to have sentiment about kitchen stools, but exactly what is sentiment? It is remembering and enjoying the memories of feeling loved, enjoying other people, and letting the loving times and the happy times influence our lives. Sometimes that can include the things that were around us as we enjoyed each other. Kitchen stools are a part of that sentiment when it comes to remembering grandma and the fun times spent in her kitchen.
Kitchen stools aren't just for Grandma's house anymore; now they are a part of my life that will never leave. They are a part of the memories I have, and a part of the memories I will build with my own family.
Building Memories
Kitchen stools will be part of my home, and part of enjoying my family for the rest of my life. Family time that centers on the kitchen is time that will be remembered as being in a warm place. If there is something such as kitchen stools as a part of those family times, the memories will be similar to the ones I have of Grandma and her house.
Kitchen stools will make it possible for my family to enjoy each other while sharing meals or snacks, playing board games, enjoying a cup of hot chocolate on a cool evening, and, of course, baking cookies together.
Creating memories, and keeping the sentiment alive that was begun by Grandma will include using kitchen stools.
Kitchen Stools For Sale
These days, kitchen stools have become mainstay household furniture. As more and more people spend time catching up on family news in the kitchen rather than in the living room, there is greater need for today's kitchen to be space-efficient. Kitchen stools help kitchens achieve this. Not only do they open spaces, they also use up very little floor area.
If you are considering getting kitchen stools for your kitchen, below are some of the factors you have to consider.
The Stools' Height
Kitchen stools come in three standard heights. Choose the type that is the most compatible with the height of your kitchen tabletop.
1.Kitchen chair height: Seat height usually measures around 45 centimeters and is ideal for lowered tables or worktops around 72 centimeters high.
2.Breakfast bar stool height: Ideal for standard 90 centimeter-high kitchen tables and worktops. Height of kitchen stools like these usually measures around 60 centimeters.
3.High bar stool height: This is the ideal seat height if you have, or are planning to have, a poser table in the kitchen. Stools in this category measure around 75 centimeters and are compatible with raised table or worktop heights of around 105 to 108 centimeters.
It's All in the Framing and Seating
There is a wide selection of seating and framing materials for kitchen stools. Designers cater to your very discriminating taste and will accept custom orders. Usually, the materials used are the following:
1.For the Frames
a. Metal: This is presently the most popular choice for framing material, and is often made from steel tubing. If you're getting metal kitchen stools, specify whether you want chrome or lacquered satin for the steel's finish.
b. Wood: This is an ideal framing material if you want a cozy atmosphere in your kitchen. The wood is usually solid beech. You may, however, specify a particular finish, such as natural, light staining, or deep staining.
2.For the Seats
a. Color-coordinated seats for kitchen stools with metal framing
b. Color-coordinated upholstery for kitchen stools with wooden framing
So, do kitchen stools make a happier home? It's possible they do. After all, a family that eats breakfast together is a family that has more to talk about.
