Know How To Go

    View:
With such a high variety of different Omaha Hi/Lo hands it can be extremely difficult to figure out which hands to play and which ones to let go. There are a lot more hands that should be let go then hands that should be held.

When you are playing Texas Holdem or Omaha Hi/Lo you should only be in for around 20% of the flops. Anything more then that could mean you are probably playing too loose. The first thing you must know before you ever sit down at a Omaha Hi/Lo table; you must know which hands should be let go.

Regardless of whether you are playing Omaha Hi/Lo or Texas Holdem, if you are truly playing your cards right then you should only be in for the flop about 20% of the time. A lot of players make the error of trying to play nearly every hand, thinking that they are going to hit the right cards on the flop. These players usually spend most of their time losing.

For those who do not think this way and do want to play the best poker they possibly can; there are some hands that could definitely save you some money if you knew that they should be tossed. One type of hand that is often misleading in Omaha Hi/Lo is a hand like 4567.

While many poker players will consider this a good hand because of the chances to catch a straight, the reality is that there isnt much of a chance at all. Most of the time you will not get a straight out of this hand, or end up with a low hand either.

Big Pair Lookout

Similarly, many poker players, even those who have been playing for many years, will consider any pair that contains a big pair to be a good hand. Again, this is not always the case. A hand like KK28 is really not a strong hand, and unless you get another King you will probably be out of luck.

The celebrated double-Ace hand is also something to beware. If all you have is the two aces then with no other cards to support it you may want to walk away. A high pocket pair in Omaha does not guarantee a winning hand, so be careful and make sure you can make something out of your hand before you proceed.

Generally you want cards that work together. Cards that are suited and work together to make good hands are going to give you a lot higher chance to win. These are the hands that will take you where you want to go. You must give yourself a chance to win the low hand and the high hand. At the same time, you do not want to concentrate too hard on only the low hand. That is just going to get you in trouble.

Once you have mastered which hands need to be folded and which ones can be played you will find yourself winning a lot more. You will also want to improve your ability to read the other players and make good decisions to give yourself better odds of winning. All of these things will come together and you will find that winning at Omaha Hi/Lo isnt as difficult as you thought it would be.
Know How To Go
Make sure you take this basic skydiving information with you if you decide take skydiving lessons. It will make a big difference in how much enjoyment you will get out of the sport.

The most important thing to do is to take skydiving lessons from the best school for you. This will involve doing a bit of research about the quality of the school, the location, how they conduct their classes, their class schedules, etc.

Next, be aware of your own personal health concerns. There are some conditions that make it at best uncomfortable, and at worst, dangerous to skydive. Make sure you are honest with yourself and your skydive center about your health issues. Some centers will actually have requirements that you have to meet, but others will not and will rely upon you to be honest on the health form that you have to sign for them.

For the ones that require a physical before you can skydive with them, you have to take into consideration the cost of the physical. If your health is good, passing it should be easy, but if you have certain conditions, you may need the doctor to sign off that you are fit to skydive. Be honest with the skydiving school or center; you don't want to have any surprises if a medication you are taking does not function well when you are up in the air. If you were recently a blood donor, or if you have been scuba diving, make sure you tell your instructor. It may make a difference in whether or not you should skydive right now.

Many countries and states have requirements regarding the minimum age to , so make sure you know what that is before you waste your time and money. For example, in the United States, you must be at least 16 in order to skydive, but you can get a waiver if a parent or guardian consents to it. In this case, the parent or guardian will have to observe the instructions for the skydive. Most schools, however, regardless of more lenient federal requirements, will require that a client be at least 18 in order to skydive.

There may also be certain tests, including oral and written tests to demonstrate knowledge and a practical test to show you are capable of the skydive. Typically, these tests are administered after detailed ground training, so as long as you have been paying attention in the on the ground skydiving lesson, you should have no problem. Just passing the test is not the important thing, understanding everything you need to know in order to make a safe dive is much more important.
