During the Formula One Winter testing on Thursday, Nov. 6th, the BMW Sauber pilot, Robert Kubica recorded the best time until now, with 1:19.157 in 87 laps on the Circuito de Jerez in Spain.



Following, Kubica is Lewis Hamilton with a time of 1:19.331, in third place is the Brazilian Felipe Massa, with a 1:19.333. Meanwhile Michael Schumacher, who said he used experimental tires on his Ferrari, achieved a 1:19.885 in 67 laps.

This would be the comeback for the first and only Polish in Formula 1, after his accident in June 2007 while racing in the Canadian Grand Prix.

Williams’ new prospect

During this week the German Nicolas Hülkenberg, made his test debut with Williams team at the Spanish circuit. The 20 years old professional racecar driver comes as Willi Weber’s protégé.

Nico made of 2007, a great opportunity to enhance his career and his reputation as he became one of the hottest young racers in the professional motor sports world.

With four wins, the third place overall in the Formula 3 Euro Series and the victory on the (non-championship) Ultimate Masters of F3 at Zolder in Belgium, has become one of the favorite rookies for the Formula One 2008. And according to Weber, Williams is “the place" for the young pilot.

According to the testing and Weber, who compared him with a young Michael Schumacher, Nico seems to be a promising racer for the Formula One.
