Landing Pages With A Purpose, Leads And More Leads

Landing pages also known as "squeeze pages" or "capture pages", can help you build your mailing list. The goal of the capture page is to get visitors to subsribe into your system. It does this by placing all of your subscribers into your auto responder. Not only do you do the work just once, your traffic driving efforts can be focused into one simple marketing method.



You should never put any links on your landing page other than the opt-in form. You don't want your visitors to click away from your page while they are still looking. Remember, your first goal is to have them opt-in.

Squeeze pages need to be well thought out and organized. When writing your page, treat it as if you are writing a sales letter. While you are not necessarily making a hard sale or trying to get someone to buy your product upfront, being able to entice your visitor to give their details to you is just as important as selling. In fact you are selling them on opting into your system.

Offer a free item in exchange for your visitor's email address. I highly recommend this method of building your mailing list. You can offer a special report or a sample of your paid product to your visitor in exchange for their details such as name and email address and phone number.

If you are offering a free item, hammer on the benefits of the free offering as being something more than a mere subscription to your newsletter or an ordinary piece of software. You should focus most of the attention of the letter on encouraging your prospective visitor to download your free offer. Later, you gently remind your prospect that he or she has nothing to pay. You just merely want them to subscribe to your newsletter in exchange for the free offering.

The most important point you want to remember is that you in effect are trying to establish yourself as an expert in your field and build trust.

Don't be scared and ask for too little information. If your offer is truly worth something, ask for their name, e-mail address and phone number. Most people resist offering their phone number. If you are offering something of great value however, you should expect to get it. If not, you will get more opt-ins if you simply ask for first name and e-mail address.

It has often been quoted that a marketer's list is his fortune. That is absolutely true! Be creative in coming up with ways to convert each and every visitor to your website into a subscriber. Every bit more effective you are at converting visitors into opt-ins lowers your overall cost per lead. So it is beneficial and wise to test several versions of your capture page by making slight changes and seeing what the results might be.
