Shirts also need to be loose so that you can move freely. Do not over dress for the plane ride. Layering your clothing, so that you will not have to carry as much, can be a problem even though most planes have air conditioning. You do not want to make your self too hot on the plane.
Shoes are very important when flying. Wearing the right shoes can make the trip more comfortable. You will not want to wear high heels because of the swelling that can occur on a plane may not allow you to place them back on your feet. That is why wearing sneakers or tennis shoes are the most recommended pair of shoes. Sandals will give allow room for swelling, but your toes may not appreciate everyone stepping on them. Many people are in a hurry to get off the plane so many do not pay attention to where they are stepping.
Clothes that are comfortable to wear at home are probably going to be the best choice to wear for a long flight. Remember no body looks that good on a long trip so do not worry too much about you appearance. You will want to go for what is most comfortable.
