Learning How To Dance

    View:
The simple answer is no, but you must be willing to put the time and the effort in. For example just say you were going to start learning karate you would be expected to atleast attend 6 hours a week and even then it will take months to pick up the basics. Actually bringing up karate is a good comparison to dancing, there are a few reasons for this and they are when you first start karate you will have to perform stretches and moves that your body has never felt before. This in itself is very similar to learning dance steps and your body and mind will never have felt anything like this.

Ok enough about comparisons, dancing is fun forget about the work involved in learning once you have mastered the art it is very entertaining plus you get to meet a wide variety of people that you can share your success stories, failures and celebrations with.

If you are reading this then you must have some interest in learning to dance so wait no longer, join a group and you could be surprised at what you learn and maybe surprise your friends the next time you go to a party.
Learning How To Dance
Dance is a very creative form of art. When looking for a dance school for your child you should choose a dance school that encourages creativity. When a student is passionate about dancing they can be creative and it will make them a great performer.

Schools that foster creativity summon the best from your child, giving them the tools to express themselves with dance. This form of art develops creativity.

There a various ways a school can foster creativity:

Games: All children find games lots of fun. As students, children learn well when games are used to teach them. Dance is no exception. A good school will incorporate games into lessons to facilitate a fun learning atmosphere that encourages kids to take part. Children are always excited by new learning media that teaches them skills.

Competitions: It is sometimes good to have a healthy competition with the other students because it helps them learn and develop their skills. The teacher should make the competition fun and without stress. Competition sometimes helps a student to be more creative and passionate towards dancing, as well as being much more confident.

Acting: interpreting a dance is like acting. Interpreting a dance tells a story and also shows the emotion of the characters that are being portrayed. Interpretation is a form of acting that students really enjoy. A good dance school should show them how to be creative and passionate with their dancing.

How does fostering creativity in this way help your child?

Motivation: learning this way is a strong way to motivate the students and keep them on task. Sometimes small children need motivation and incentives to keep focused and on task. This helps them to learn more at a faster rate.

Concentration: Short concentration spans are common and easily overcome by using a variety of learning aids and methods. The skills they will learn will enable them to concentrate and improve their memories throughout their lives.

Overcoming boredom: this is one we have all had to deal with at some time. Children are easily bored and crave different forms of learning. By stimulating their interest, a student's mind is fascinated and yearns for more information.

To ensure that this creativity is part of the dance school curriculum it is good to meet the teachers of any dance school that you are proposing to send your child to. By meeting them and looking over the school curriculum you can see what sort of creativity is being used by these teachers. You can bring your child as well to see how they react to them. It is good for your child to meet the teacher they will be working with.
