Far off the west coast of Scotland can be found a group of islands known as the Outer Hebrides (also known as the Western Isles). In total there are over 200 islands in the group with only a very small percentage are inhabited. Finally we take a look at the best looking hotel in Stornoway, the Royal Hotel. Built in 1850 the Royal Hotel is Stornoway's most historic hotel retaining many period features (found in the front facing rooms). Found almost at the heart of the town the hotel's Boatshed Restaurant and HS1 Cafe are extremely popular eating places of excellent reputation. With superb views out over the harbour this is the hotel to stay in if you like to be close to the action while enjoying comfortable accommodation.
